Is Moe Harkles a free agent ? Knicks should pick him up for insurance at the 4.

I think it's about cap management at this point. Don't think anyone new is coming through that door.

I want insurance in case Randall or Obi get injured like Brunson has been. What's so funny about that ?

Is Moe Harkless in a place where he'd accept a "break glass in a case of emergency" end-of-the-bench role?

I don't know, I'm really asking.

Ok if you think Simms is it.

The text of my question is is Moe Harkless in a place in his career where he isn't prioritizing regular PT and is accepting of a low PT bench role. Not everyone would be. Some guys see themselves as rotation players and seek out rotation roles.

I hope the Knicks bring back Arcidiacono next year. He belongs on this team as the 15th man (if it’s not Pinson.)

Just like Burks this year, I don’t think they can?

Reasonably certain they can.

From Larry Coon's FAQ:

A team cannot reacquire a player it traded away during the same season (a season for this purpose being defined as starting on the first day of the regular season and ending on the last day of the Finals). If the player was traded between seasons (i.e., from the first day after the Finals to the last day prior to the start of the next regular season), it cannot reacquire the player prior to the end of the next season [Burks]. If he is waived by his new team, then he cannot re-sign with his original team until the one-year anniversary of the trade, or until the July 1 following the end of his contract, whichever comes first. However, if a team trades a player's draft rights, it can reacquire the player during the same season.

Arcidiacono is an UFA after this season, so "until the July 1 following the end of his contract" seems to apply.

Yes I am under the impression they can just sign him as an unrestricted FA this summer.

Anyone read anything about Jah being out 4 games, maybe longer? that team was imploding prior and no criminal charges against him.
“Time away” is very vague. The issue with his group pointing a laser to visiting team recently symptomatic of a larger problem?
If he and Tee are running with a group involved in some bad stuff, and he funding it could be hard to unwind without retribution from them. I don’t know any of this for real but League is wise to put a clamp down on this before it gets out of hand. Jah has endorsements and represents the league. If Jah wants to live his life as he sees it he can retire from the NBA and do what he pleases. But if you put the uniform on and collect a check you adhere to contract you VOLUNTARILY signed.

NBA dives deep into issues. I forget who said they have connections with the FBI might not be untrue, or private investigators looking hard to see if there is any criminal elements. NBA players are targets for extortion and do need protection so its not crazy to think this. As for Jah, I heard on windhorst he might be done for the season. There was no elaboration but have to say on the surface very weird stuff.

I think League is investigating whether he brought a gun onto the team plane - if so, could be away for much longer.

Twitter likes to cite a minimum 50 game suspension, but I think most are just speculating based on Gilbert Arenas.
