I heard of makeup calls during the game but over the rest of the season? These refs made Austin Reaves look like a superstar by giving him more free throws than FG attempts.
NBA league office did not vote and get clearance on this!!! What is going oonnnnn?!?!
The league wants the lakers in the playin
Why would they do that?
The lakers are the top franchise in the league and play in the top 2 market in the league and feature 2 top players in the league and the number one scorer of all time
you right

So the recent debate here between conspiracy theory of a fixed draft and everything being on the up and up - perhaps there is a conspiracy theory lite?

Could you imagine if the Knicks got 1/10th the love?

Or maybe acknowledging the fact that the nba is business

I don't see those two thoughts as contradictory.

Not for nothing, but there hasn't been a debate. There is a disagreement.
One side has presented a rational argument, the other has not.

Ummm, okay.
So why did the NBA let the Lakers miss the play-in by 1 GAME last season?
Why did the NBA let the Lakers drop to the 7th seed play-in tournament by losing a 3-WAY TIE-BREAKER the season before that?
Why didn't the NBA intervene sooner when it appeared early in the season the Lakers were in significant danger of being a bad team? Why react so late and leave a more conspicuous trail l of breadcrumbs for the conspiracy-minded?
Considered together, the NBA's actions and lack of actions for three seasons in a row is curious and raises questions if the premise is the NBA is a multi-billion dollar business willing to cheat other teams to help its premiere franchise (who hasn't been past the first round since 2020) be an play-in team.
... not that I'm expecting any substantive answers, mind you...
The Heat thought they were slick and rested Jimmy to save him for us and might end up losing to Toronto.
Raptors up by 19 with 7 min to go.
Heat are like villians in horror movie. You think they dead, turn your back and they get up.
We get them 2nd night of back to back. Jimmy is 33 and has sore knees. They slick, but with reason.

Whoa! Come on PHilC, once go “oh, my bad!”…….
Also, why does Stearn and Silver so hate the knicks? If in no. 1 market, would then not be a ratings draw too?
Up by 12 with just under 4 minutes. Fucking zombies never just give up.
Better if the lose in OT, then fly to NYC and not sleep.
Lowry seems to have been a poor investment choice by Riles. No tears here
martin wrote:Lowry seems to have been a poor investment choice by Riles. No tears here
For a time Riley and the Heat enjoyed the assumption by fans who think the NBA is fixed that somehow they'd always make the big free agent signing or big trade to put them over the top, not unlike the Lakers.
Not so much anymore...
And you thought Knicks Twitter was bad. Heat fans are stewing in a stream of their own piss and crap. Lesson to other NBA fandoms who thought it was cute to crap on the Knicks?
