There will be a huge uptick in fast break scoring and really make it difficult for the likes of Mitchell Robinson to stay on the court by the all star break. Things will slow down in the post season but it will become apparent in a month that until the Knicks start Obi at center they will be giving up an unsustainable amount of fast break points. It will be a month later and Zach Lowe will write a big piece discussing how that little rule change has effected the NBA.
Your suggesting that Mitch, who as a 5 plays in the paint on defense should be defending fast breaks?
His offensive rebound will alter some breaks from occurring. His length discourage as well.
Knicks were 7th if giving opponents fast break points.

No. I'm saying that without the fear of the take foul teams will be pushing the ball up court even faster, leaving Robinson and that prototype of a center behind the play more frequently. Even the threat of the take foul was a huge advantage for the defense. It had been better slow the break than to allow the defense to get set. A smart defense would have just saved their fouls to stop fast breaks. I think the elimination will really alter the game, maybe even similarly to the hand check rule.
I have never seen someone in year 20 look at good as him on the court.
Watching Celtics/Magic. Banchero is bigger than I thought. Almost the same size as Tatum. Knew he was good. Didnt know he would be this good, this fast. Wasnt intimidated.
If the Magic win and select Wembanyana. With the young talent they already have on the roster..yikes.

I'd say Banchero is bigger than Tatum. I've been following him and he looks complete offensively. He also hasn't been as bad in defense as I thought. Watching the Raps/Heat and the raps are long. The Heat are desperate this game but the Raps are fighting.
Wow.... Trent's knee looks bad

Back in the game. False alarm.
Mavericks are putting the smack down on the Grizzlies. Blowout going into the 4thQ

Is Luka establishing that he has next?

He'll have to put a hit out on Jokic, Joel abd Giannis first. His FO will also need to help him out

Josh Giddey's finishing at rim makes RJ look like Kyrie. Frustrating to watch.

Now that Dallas has some serious intimidation in the frontcourt with McGee and Wood, they have become downright scary.

I have no dislike for the Mavericks but we own their top ten protected pick. Let them collapse and we get pick 11.
NOLA with refurbished Zion, Ingram better each year, and a good trade for McCollum.
And they can swap pick with Lakers this year, and own the pick next.
We laughed at Griffin as a shit head. Dude has them lined up for a 10 year run if things fall into place.
Things can turn around quickly.

Griffin is a crap head. He just got “lucky” on the Zion draft, plus they got a really good haul from the Lakers that were desperate to get a championship to legitimize Jeannie Buss as the Heir to Jerry Buss. They flipped those assets to to get McCollum cheap.
Meanwhile the Knicks have had to work harder and sacrifice more to do anything because they aren’t lucky nor did they maximize a trade. Also I would say their moves were Craphead moves last summer, but they paid to get out of it. They tried to flip assets to get Mitchell and we saw Ainge try to rob them. They still have assets though so maybe they will hit on the next one.

Knicks are probably trade that pick… no way are they bringing two rookies onto this team.

Maybe, but it's still better to have the better assets for a trade
