On Cam that layup does not impress me. It is another low percentage highly contested shot. I am glad it went in but he will miss more of them than make.

They dont run any plays for him either, make use of his 3pt shooting.
I will also say Quick had not played badly this preseason but I am not seeing the PG capable Quick that I seen at the end of last season. I don't know the numbers but more times than not it seems like his playing ball handler ends up with him taking the shot.

Our 1st unit is so dang clunky I’m sorry - very slow sluggish NBA starting unit.
They did look fine the 1st 2 games so there’s that but I fall asleep watching that group.
Just seen that we shot 37% from the field. That is abysmal.

Look at all the pump fakes. If they did not fall for 90% of them his scoring is cut in half. You would think the scouts would see this before a random fan does.

Quick has been so reliable the past two seasons, it was weird to see him have a bad game. Randle looked awesome.

I'm relieved they got the loss out of the way. Showed them that they're still not sh!t and that they need to be locked in every game. Thibs will bust them a new one today and hopefully that wakes them up.

He's a room and they're still building the scouting report on him. Also, he was lucky that Grimes was out. Still, I'm impressed by Mathurin. His dribble skills are middling, but he only needs half a step and it's over. Nice combination of strength and quickness at the wing spot.
Dont believe the ball movement was as good this game. Too many forced shots. Agree that Brunson looked gassed. Might not be used to Thibs practices yet.
Hope Hart doesnt make a habit of passing up good looks. Dont know if that was an issue his last stop. Still a lot to like from his game at this point.
Knicks outworked the Pacers, their first meeting. Pacers outworked the Knicks last night. Its preseason, and 82 games ahead, no big deal. The ball movement has to be consistent to stay in a playoff hunt. Cant take nights off there.
Quick got the hook when he played like that in previous seasons. It happend. We have sort of fabled his play a bit with stereotyping. You know, “Randle is always grumpy and should be traded, Drose never has a bad game, Grimes is perfect, Obi is adored, and IQ is a great defender who never takes bad shots”.
Meanwhile Duce still can’t shoot.
Evan also has games like that. When he does its not fun.
We saw Thibs go with the second unit and they did not look great. Cam is playing for his life on a bad ankle. That drive in first half were he collapsed? Look like it gave out. But he has to play for his career now. Not looking good. Grimes comes back he is out of the rotation?
Indy guarded Brunson. They doubled him. He did not play great but thats gonna happen.
Shooting? First road game? team was just off? Obi was not a super hero we hyped him to be.
RJ was solid. Mitch was solid on the boards. Randle had good first half. 5 assists.
This team is picked to contend for play in. I know you guys. Raise your hopes, get frustrated, then call for Thibs head. If the second unit is not all its hyped up then some of our darling players are not living up to their expectations. Maybe. our ceiling is not that high?
Indy played good defense. We got beat. Preseason rotations.
