I think I said Mitch would average 20 with a real PG- seeing that he is absolutely unstoppable with a PG that can get him open looks.

Toppins got hurt and I think Thibs likes to play guys in groups.
That was a good pre-season. Thanks to Thibs rotations we have learned a lot about this group. There is a lot to love and some areas that need improving. You have to think the bench will figure it out sooner or later. They been carrying us for the last two seasons.
If Mitch can keep up this pace, energy, concentration, effort... watch out
I love Mitch so much. We all know what the deal was. Fans can say it but as a player he knows not to do that to a former teammate.

I think we all (except Kemet)underestimated Taj's contribution to the second unit. You see how Taj got abused going up the raw physical powers of Robinson but dang, Hartenstein made a lot of mistakes that cost the second unit. He doesn't seem to recognize when to go for the offensive board and when to rush back on defense, leading to several fast breaks by the Wiz with no one under the rim. In those situations, Obi has to rush back to get in the paint.
Quickly looked a little gun shy after last games fiasco though he picked up his aggressiveness towards the end. Rose still looks to be getting into shape.
Overall though, that first unit has looked solid in preseason. Since so many boxes have been checked, Randle looks free to step back from doing everything and just do the little things to get the wins.
If RJs 3 point shooting is sustainable- watch out. Brunson has looked like a great fit- kudos to the front office in getting it done to keep him.
There was an end of game graphic showing how tough the start of the season is. If the Knicks can go for .500 over the first 20 games, we will know that this team is for real. Glad that preseason is over and the Knicks are looking good.

This game reminded me of Mitch's rookie season, when he seemed to be everywhere on the court.
Fournier's D and setting up other teamates will be important. Especially when his shot isnt falling. Good game. RJ was taking too long to make his move to the rim. Doesnt have elite burst. Cant afford to let his defender get set. Hart has a good nose for the ball. Didnt pass up a good look tonite. Hope Obi is OK.
Rose Quickly Cam Obi Hart 16-62 on 3s for the preseason (wince)

Dude is finally in shape and at good strength, and playing with purpose. Love it
You can see that the second unit is still figuring out what they want to do, especially in half court sets. Long way to go.
Hart bring such a different dimension but IQ has no idea what to do now
Glad we made out of preseason without any crazy injuries. There was lots to like. RJ looks very confident. Brunson definitely will help. Robinson looks in tip top shape and healthy. Randle seems to have bought in to playing faster and not having the ball in his hands as much. I think we should be better then last season. Still think 41-45 wins, 8-10 seed is a fair expectation.
I love this. A real PG. Lol. Mitch is keeping it real.

I thought Robinson was going to 'Jerome James' after getting his money but he looks great! Expecting a big season from him! 10/10/2 is the goal!

We need to get him in sync with who he will actually play with when the season starts. The starters are flowing too well to even think about breaking them up now.
This is exactly what Thibs did. Grimes is now in with the bench. It seems like me and him are on the same page a lot this season.
So its ok to blame you when he messes up?

Wow! 16-62 for the bench lineup on 3-balls, I'm already missing Burks & Taj Gibson leadership in the bench lineup, plus this new bench lineup had no team ball-movement throughout the preseason games.
It was nice to finally see the starters throwing the ball down low to MitchRob for an easy two.
Having only ISO scorer plays may become our downfall !!!
