Sorry but this is a dumb poll considering there is zero chance we would ever tank with Thibs and after throwing the bag at Brunson, RJ and Randle. And even if we did tank, we'd only have a 14% chance at Wembanyama at best so 86% chance we wouldn't get him anyway.
This is like voting in a two-party system...
We can pray for him, but not tank - but- if it's just squeaking into the play offs or missing, I'm for missing and praying.

Ha - we couldn't even tank well when the lottery odds were not recalibrated so it's definitely pointless unless we're trying to land top 7 or 8.
Our luck is so bad that I will never say we should tank from the start of the season but if we suck again the lottery chance hurting end of the season wins have to stop. It happens every year and all it does is kill draft position and we end up with Frank or Knox. Last year there was a point we were in the top 5ish pick and those wins at the end killed that. We would have gotten a really talented player if we stayed in that position instead of trying to trade up and teams ignore our calls when someone like Ivey drops to them.
Is it tanking when you are just bad? Anyhow the league won't let the knicks win the lottery.
We should always be tanking until the day comes when we don't need to anymore. That day has yet to come.

No, we should not tank. But if we are organically not good we should not be buying via trade but selling and let yoot play.
If we suck with Drose, then trade him. let him play for a contender if they take his contract.
Randle? if we suck with him, I really don’t want to dump him with a pick, but……how can we take back money?
I like him on GSW if Dray Green goes down. They are not down with playing Kuminga. WIseman is still very raw and hurting them.
There's no tanking in NBA...odds aren't favorable. Better to build a fighting/winning culture and keep on building, developing players. Tanking is an NFL thing.

Statistically (based on results) the Cavs lottery picks are much more likely than normal to become 1st overall picks over the past 2 decades:

An optimistic gambler might say we're due for the big win.
A pessimistic gambler would say we're cursed and happily trade picks for real players. (this was our strategy for years!)

Right, and even if they were in lottery, the law of averages suggest they are done getting the #1 pick.

Firing, imho, happens when teams are losing to teams that they are expected to beat.

Fans expectations are based on hope and emotion. Yet every pundit in the universe said we'd struggle to make play in.
You don't fire people out of anger or spite. You fire them for underperforming and thats at the discretion of the owner.
Thus, Dolan who has been known to make some dumb ass decisions and creating a dysfunctional FO has really not done so this time.

I want my 8th pick!! Just give it to me an be done with it. Can definitely get a rotation player and in most cases a starter with it. Our draft scouts are beyond solid. The only starter that was drafted above 8 is RJ. Mitchell and Brunson were from the 2 ND round even. I'll take my 8th pick pls, thank you very much.

I did not say everyone should be fired now. However, Thibbs has been the coach for three years. If we don’t at least get into the play-in, then this team has not progressed in three years and it would be time to start looking for a new person to run things, whether that is just replacing the coach or replacing everyone.
