Knicks · Props to sims (page 1)

It was a full team
Effort
But I thought the guy who got it started was Sims. A lot of good hustle plays stalled Utah rallies. I really hope he continues to play/develop
GustavBahler @ 11/16/2022 1:03 PM
I was open to trading him because he wasnt making much use of his blue chip athleticism IMO. Not enough to put him in the rotation. But it looks like he's starting to figure things out.
Uptown @ 11/16/2022 1:17 PM
Sims gets man rebounds and he's probably the best screener on the team.
blkexec @ 11/16/2022 1:20 PM
Absolutely love Sims. Good call Briggs. I know you was hyped about him from the draft. And he hasn't disappointed since.

I agree 100%. I actually watched the entire game and wow, this dude has some bunnies. Head level with the rim on every dunk or rebound, it's insane.

100%

When Mitch comes back his time will be limited and I'm not even sweating that. I hope Sims uses the time to get a reliable jumper. His FT shooting looks different this year

Man. I hate that Briggs is getting credit for this. I posted him in the Draft thread shortly after the Combine when the kid jumped through the roof. Briggs just started his own thread (as usual). Mine mine mine. Praise me!!!!

Calm down brother — who cares who said what. I only care Sims plays well. I thought he was the conduit last night. I hope he continues!

Has really blossomed

58th pick. What value.
joec32033 @ 11/17/2022 2:45 AM
Sims is giving you what Mitch gives you without the injuries (gaudy stats arent there yet). He continues to develop I think Mitch becomes very expendable.
TheGame @ 11/17/2022 6:52 AM
Sims is one mid-range jumper and two post moves alway from being a starting caliber 4/5. If he ever learns to hit a 3 pointer, then watch out. The kid still needs to continue developing his offense but the defense and putbacks are incredible. Mitch is still better due to Mitch’s size advantage with similar athleticism, but Sims is solid. Now we know why the Knicks did not push too hard to bring Taj back.

Jericho can jump, has quick feet and is a fantastic athlete. He is 6-9, or 6-10 with 7-3 wingpand. Not bad, not great.
He can jump. Not to rain on the parade or be sour uncle, but he is 24 years old.
He is likely worked very hard over the years to develop an offensive game but its not there. Taj had a nice rounded game and has a career still at age 37. I hope Jericho can stay in the league but he is relegated to 3rd string as demonstrated by the inclusion of Hart. I doubt he sticks. With that build he should go into modeling or be an actor..
cooch2584 @ 11/17/2022 8:29 AM
I dont think Hart can play the uptempo style. Sims can and provides essentials that hart cant. When does Sims start?

Sims on the second unit gives the defense and rebounding to “let’er rip”!
What does Hart lack in rim protection or rebounding to not make hiim work uptempo? What about outlet passing. He has shown very well there. Sims gets rid of the ball quick but have not seen it down court?

The one thing to consider about Jericho was his situation and personality. Quiet, never a peep. Grew up in the basketball haven of Minnesota.

Played behind these guys in college: Jarret Allen, Mo Bamba, Jaxson Hayes, Kai Jones, Greg Brown. Those guys got heavy minutes at school and probably more focus from the coaches.

He got 2 years on his contract left and plenty of time to learn a jumpshot, that's all that matters.

GustavBahler @ 11/17/2022 10:14 AM
Starting to wonder how Mitch will fit in with the FO's plans , If Sims keeps improving, and Mitch keeps missing games.
SergioNYK @ 11/17/2022 10:15 AM
I hope Sims doesn't go back to DNP'CDs once Robinson comes back.
ramtour420 @ 11/17/2022 10:54 AM
Sims shot a jumper last nite. Sure it didn't go in, but the fact that he did it means that he does have that in his repertoire.he shoots free throws pretty well. At least so says the eye test. Pretty excited to see him develop
TPercy @ 11/17/2022 10:55 AM
We must have the best big rotation in the league.

Embiid jokic adebayo for starters. Doesn’t matter who their back ups are?

Depth seems to be paying massively for us
