Then Mcbride contests a shot after a guy beat Quick. Love him man.

Wow Cam can’t even get garbage time minutes. We are definitely trying to trade him

Cam was never going to be with us long term. He wants money we will never give him. So no use playing this out longer than it has to be played.

This is the first time I been happy watching a Knick game in a long time. I might start watching all of them again.

I don’t think that is the case at all, but they better get something for him.

Once again Leon works for Thibs so who cares

They played the “right” way tonight. A lot of effort. Ball sharing. Great rotations. Solid effort on all fronts.

Knicks finding their identity. Playing D, not going crazy on the pace. This is closer to the Knicks of 2 years ago

These games looked different from each other. Cavs looked like they were just missing open shots. ATL looked like they had hands in their face no matter where they looked. Both were wins, but the ATL win “felt” better.

True story. McBride and Grimes have been ELITE and contagious. Watching Hart get down into a defensive stance.

This was the two guys I had high hopes for since draft day. Love seeing deuce hit that 3. He’s a mid range shooter out of college. We all know about that defense. Doesn’t show up in the stat sheet but he was just as important as Randle to me. This version of Randle is nice to see. Forgot he knew how to smile. Good game

In both cases the teams were missing some of their best players. That is part of the game, but it also means the sample is “tainted” and they would have to do this both longer and against those teams healthy for it to mean anything.

Sort of like how the Knicks kept running into the injured Hawks during the 2019 season and the healthy hawks during that year’s playoffs.

It is all about Grimes. His defense moves RJ to the second best offensive player and his offense gives the starters a floor spacer. If Grimes’s catch and shot game can stay on like tonight, we might be able to salvage this season and avoid the play-in.

I totally agree with your assessment.

Yeah. The passing is more apparent this game. 24 assists this game.

The look Grimes gave Barrett (WOW) when Barrett refuse to throw the ball twice to Grimes favorite back-door move lol

martin @ 12/7/2022 11:35 PM
Ugh

Seemed a little fortuitous Dejounte getting injured off of flagrant foul after he roasted the Knicks last time around. Other than the nasty taste in my mouth from that, it was a great game all around.

Got to give it up to This for his constant tinkering with the rotations that find line ups that work. If Grimes can hit 3s and play lockdown D and Deuce energizes the second unit, the sky is the limit.

Julius had his joy going on tonight, so fun to watch

Im glad i was wrong. It might seems like Thibs may have finally found his rotation. Maybe we have seen the last of Cam in a knick uniform with repirts both the FO and reps are looking for a trade for him. I hope he gets to land somewhere he can thrive. I think the FO will continue to right their past mistakes by trading Fournier and maybe unloading a center. Although not on the trading block at the moment, Lavin might be a potential trade deadline target. Most likely IQ and Obi will be part of any trade. The voodoo spell that Randle brought from New Orleans still hasn't worn off making him virtually untouchable! Would really want Obi to stay instead of Randle in any star move. I want him to have a fair chance to shine as a knick.

I hope this rotation can finally implement the defensive scheme thibs want to show any stars that the knicks has potential.
