Knicks deserved to lose this one with all the abysmal free throw shooting.
Frankly I am happier they lost so they can improve after a nice long hard look at their lapses here.
Total meltdown at the line in the clutch tonight.

Brunson looked gassed. Looks like he hit a wall, unless its a lingering injury. Nice to see a monster game from RJ, was scoring from everywhere.
RJ controlled the office in crutch time. JB was iced out so he was cold. Randle was deferring to RJ all second half. So I don’t blame JB for missed free throws. The entire team missed free throws.
Tuff lose but I love it. HOW QUICK WE FORGET. We usually get blown out in these games. PROGRESS
We played good to win
I can’t complain
Only issue I see is we need to keep the starters minutes down by 10% or it will catch up

Would that be why his sphincter tightened at the free throw line?
Hopefully it was just momentary. Would hate to see him miss Sunday.

All do respect, JB had shot 5 for 15. He had shots. He just choked it happens. Knicks need to close out better. Chicago never should have had the opportunity to win.
Really bad foul call on Robinson's block on DeRozan and the missed free throws. Great shot by Derozan though.

That call was hot garbage
Two losses in a row by small ball teams running a 8 man rotation ..
Our 3 centers (MitchRob/Hart/Sims) combine for less than 6 FGA ..
Barrett's 44 pts still say Barrett is not a CLOSER!
Christmas game vs Embiid I refuse to watch

We really needed to take care of business. This losing streak is probably going to start growing some legs
Good progress game though
You know Thibs running FT drills til midnight followed by 2 hour film session breaking down RJs incredible performance

The Knicks shot 57% from the FT line tonight,.
It's bad when the Knicks shoot this way in the final 6 minutes of the game.
The Knicks starter lineup have to get their minutes reduce by 12%, because they become to TIRED and aghuasted to make FT shots going down the stretch of games when the starter lineup are 80% FT shooters.
Brunson has been a 24 to 28 minute player in Dallas, in New York Brunson been averaging 32 to 38 minutes a game, while Brunson's two back up PG only played 20 of the Knicks 33 games averaging 11 minutes a game.
Brunson's a 90% FT shooter, and shot 1-4 FT tonight in his 38 minutes of playing-time.
Does it look like Brunson hit the wall the last 2 games? Playing 39 then 38 minutes ???
My pre game prediction was we lose if we don’t defend.
Yes free throws were brutal but we gave them 118 mostly casual points.
Disgusting loss.

Kinda harsh. Second game where Brunson looked like he needed a vacation. Just dont see the same bounce in his step he usually has during the game. RJ picked up the slack, and then some.
Not saying it was the only area where we were lacking. But the lack of clutch shooting in crunch time played the biggest part, with our starting PG not looking like he's 100 percent.
Legit contenders have games like these where they arent at their best, but find a way to pull out a W in crunch time. Knicks have to do the same. Cant miss those free throws, too many starters did.

Ain't we lucky we got em, Good Times with this team.
RJ played a great game. Proved all haters wrong, yet again.
Randle and IQ showed up and also played well.
Everyone else phoned it in.
JB still too focused on scoring and needs to find other ways to help winning when he does not have it going or the right match ups.
BUT....ONLY reason we lost is because PRO basketball players have to hit FOUL SHOTS!!
NO BS excuses.
Grimes and JB chocked.
