OMG! The Raptors had like 4 players play 40 minutes! Nick Nurse is a player killer! And he did it while playing an 11 man rotation! Is he insane? How did the Raptors do it? Did they play like a 56 minute game?
Or he just played his best players the most minutes because it gave him the best chance to win....
Either or...
Crazy game! Got PTSD when Trent hit that three to cut it down to two! Thoughts of another Dallas type collapse was definitely in mind! Thankfully Brunson got that clutch And1 and hit the FT! Had 10 points in the final five minutes too.
Randle is on a historical run right now. Another great dominant performance with 32 and 11 with 6 threes! He might just be the best first quarter player in the league. Whatever he does to warm up and get ready, it's working! Those threes were off balanced and step backs! His redemption this season has been fun and inspiring and I really hope he gets rewarded with an All-Star selection.
Kudos to Deuce for finally making some timely shots! Back to back threes in the fourth when Toronto was making a run! Great bounce back game from Robinson too with 18 boards. Grimes played some good D on Siakim. Held him to just 18 points on 4/14 shooting after he dropped 52 on us the previous game.
Congrats to Thibs on his 100th win as Knicks HC! He has his faults but he's without question the best Knicks HC since Woody.

that leapt out as I looked at the box score last night after the game to see who won.
I guess its a bit of a quirk on who was out there during some big runs one way or the other?
Was a fun game to watch. Gary Trent might be a nice addition.
Knicks defended siakam like they do Giannis. Hustle back on D and build a wall. Take away the easy stuff

I agree. So what’s 4th Randle?

Their second unit is why they have a losing record.
Their first unit is elite.

The guy that draws double teams after scoring 30. The guy that gets big rebounds. The guy that all teams have to focus on defending in closing moments. Probably things you appreciate since you seem to be into the intangibles.
He just needs to let the game come to him in close games and not force things. Also be quicker with passing out of doubles. But as you know, just another thing that needs reps to get better at. Can't say he has played in many meaningful high pressured close games. Hopefully he improves with more experience in those.

Don't know if I would call us good but, right now, I can at least say we're competitive with most teams/don't suck...

The 4 or 3 bench players a game never get enough minutes to warm up SMH
Coach Tom Thibs never learned how to coach more than 8 players a season.
Refuse to give veteran D.Rose a bench lineup in a season when we have the starter PG, plus deep depth on the bench to get to the 2nd round of the playoffs

Since going to a nine man rotation the Knicks are 10 and 5. Including two last second come from behind losses.

2 huge 3s midway through 4th from McBride .. Bench only scored 15 points but those 6 were the clutch.
The Knicks has lots of winning talent on their bench to be a 3rd seeded team, plus make it to the 2nd round playoff. We can't keep running Brunson in the hole for 35 or more minutes each game, and expect him to be healthy to do the same in the playoff.
We are in the regular season, not the playoff. Show the players on the roster some love.
The Players on the Bulls and on the Wolves got Tom Thibs FIRED!
Beating the 7 man rotation Raptors was the same as beating a weak team like Detroit/Houston when their star players are to tired to compete going down the stretch.
Just because this NBA team and that NBA team are playing 7 or 8 or 9 man rotation, doesn't mean we have to do the same when our bench have so much depth, and our roster have NO star players.
The Pelicans and Brooklyn Nets BIG=3 have been having nice long winning streaks playing a 10 man rotation
