Brunson+19 tonight
technomaster @ 1/13/2023 9:41 PM
Yeah Brunson doesn’t do anything if Mitchell is on the team.
If you get Mitchell maybe you just keep Burks and Quickley as your PG corps.

Great win. Taking care of biz on the road.

blkexec @ 1/13/2023 9:51 PM
Brunson is an ALL STAR.

There I said it.

It’s possible we might have 3 potential All Star caliber players in the starting lineup. I know we definitely have 2 right now.

When the Knicks can’t hit from deep it’s always gonna be ugly.

Randle, you gotta stay locked in man!

martin @ 1/13/2023 10:04 PM
Dang

I already had it searched and copied before I saw this. Exactly. In memoriam.

You get up every morning
From your 'larm clock's warning
Take the 8:15 into the city
There's a whistle up above
And people pushin', people shovin'
And the girls who try to look pretty
And if your train's on time
You can get to work by nine
And start your slaving job to get your pay
If you ever get annoyed
Look at me I'm self-employed
I love to work at nothing all day
And I'll be

Taking care of business (every day)
Taking care of business (every way)
I've been taking care of business (it's all mine)
Taking care of business and working overtime
Work out

Randle, you gotta stay locked in man!

That forearm foul on Kuzma as he went up for the 3 was one of the ultimate "glass half empty" Randle plays. Good thing it wasn't fatal.

Yeah, Randle will just never have enough of that mental capacity to be free of those types of mistakes unfortunately.

True workhorse type player that you can ride for quarters and games and sometimes even weeks or months, but don’t leave him alone in pressure type situations.

For me, a #3 type best player on a deep playoff team who can get you pretty far in regular season.

Awesome

technomaster @ 1/13/2023 11:55 PM
Let’s not discount this team - These young Knicks still have untapped upside. The only player in our rotation that’s in his prime is 28yo Randle.

Brunson is a bit of a late bloomer/early prime. And it feels like the rest are 24 and under.

We’re on the way up and still have a little bit before decisions need to be made on the contracts of Quickley/Obi/Grimes.

And we have a LOT of draft picks.

A few injuries and the conference is a different place.

You can easily run into a top team short a star:
Do we really expect Kyrie, Durant, and Simmons to all be healthy during the playoffs? Embiid and Harden? Any number of players on the Heat?

Brunson and Randle are irreplaceable. Thibs can work with the rest of the roster.

We may make the play offs but these guys will have nothing left in the tank.

Randle is just not an intelligent player, makes too many dumb plays consistently. Yes he is beasting but that doesn't change playing smart. Love how he complained to the ref that he didn't do anything wrong, yet the video shows him pushing the shooter as he's going up for the shot. No reason to be so aggressive defensively in that situation.

This exact play has been a trend on this team for at least the past 2 months I've seen Grimes(several times), Randle, and I think Deuce all make the same mistake.

Fun and entertaining game! Never really felt we were in any danger even though it got a little scary after Randles foul on Kuzma's three.

Brunson continues to play like a Super Star! Down 3 at half time and took over in that third and made big shots late in the game including four clutch FT's. He's playing as well as any player in the league right now! He's in such a groove right and it's so much fun to watch. I love how his game isn't all athleticism or power or elite shooting. He just works and uses his IQ and plays so sneaky! Pencil him in as an All-Star!

Big game by IQ! Sparked that 4th quarter and made a gorgeous pass to Hartenstein for a dunk! He's been great and would have been in the conversation for 6th Man if he played like this earlier. He's making timely shots, clutch plays, great defense. Extending him is a MUST! He is going to be a key player.

Another day at the office for Randle like Clyde says. Made a huge layup late and 16 big rebounds and great defense. And of course a crazy Amar'e type facial over Gafford!

Kudos to Kuzma. He was impressive! KP still playing like the softest 7 footer ever. Might as well be 6'7". Takes no advantage of his height and size. But his comments about regretting how things ended in NY were interesting. I personally do forgive him if that makes sense. Classic case of a young kid getting bad advice. Hopefully things work out for him. He definitely needs to play nastier imo.

I see the Knicks getting to this level of basketball more consistently next year.

And kudos to RJ to finally figuring out that he can't just bulldog his way thru 2-3 defenders on route to rim, that seems like a first.
