Things gonna get ugly

In fact, it's not just gonna be ugly, it's going to be brutal

Knixkik @ 1/19/2023 4:40 PM

Poor choice of words.

Was inevitable but we have depth
Kemet @ 1/19/2023 9:21 PM
Wow! NO MitchRob paint-defense/and offensive-boards.
Jericho Sims will finally receive consistent playing time minutes, to show us fans he should've been MitchRob's backup center at the start of the season.
Tom Thibs coaching is headed for a 11 game losing streak !!!

A Knicks fan who delights in the prospect of his team losing. Hmmmmm. You are an interesting poster. I wonder if your take is all contrived to provoke, or if there is some imbalance. Anyway, I would cross the street if I saw you coming!

Mitch has been playing great, but, and I take no delight in saying this, it's not like we didn't see this coming.

Sims should slide into the starting role since he brings alot of what Robinson does. iHart should stay on the bench (more of an offensive player, and the bench needs offense)

That's arguable. Aside from some shotput shots, his offense has been really limited. Even under the basket. Dude needs to just throw it down.

SergioNYK @ 1/20/2023 9:34 AM
To be expected. Robinson is a good player but the type that gets injured sneezing. You can pretty much pencil him down to miss 20 plus games a season. It sucks but it's not the end of the world. Perfect opportunity for Obi to get more minutes, Hartenstein to redeem himself and save his season and I'm super confident in Sims being able to give us a little of what we're losing with Robinson.

And it's trade season so average Centers shouldn't be that expensive. Or we can always just bring back Pelle.

Nalod @ 1/20/2023 9:37 AM
We might see a better version of this team!
Maybe its Mitch on offense that is problematic?
No predictions, but injuries happen and sometimes, not often a team is forced to try something different and it takes off.
Mitch has been feasting on small teams on defense. Does that mean doom and gloom that he is gone?
Knicks play the games to find out!
VDesai @ 1/20/2023 10:26 AM
I think Sims is ready to ball. His defensive awareness has improved, he has great range defensively and honestly I think he is a better finisher than Mitch (who misses a frustrating amount of dunks and tip ins). The issue is despite being quite strong, Sims is way smaller than Mitch. Mitch is a great combo of overpowering size and wingspan. Hard to replicate that on the offensive glass.

Hartenstein is playing like Chuck Knoblauch right now. He can't seem to find the rim on offense and that's a problem. He was supposed to give us a different offensive look than Mitch in the platoon.

he's interesting like herpes is interesting.

What kind of fracture, especially one requiring surgery, doesn't require at least 6-8 weeks of healing? And then I would assume additional rehab.

I'm assuming we won't see Mitch on the floor again until March, at earliest.

Any doctors here? Or did anyone sleep at a Holiday Inn recently?
