The Lakers are smelling of desperation and bad decisions. This is the kind of stuff that gets GM's fired. Will they get a Westbrook deal done?
Nets should hit a cap clearing reset button. As is, they are a First round playoff exit away from a dram filled offseason. The time is right to be bold and wash off the shame of bad decisions.
Lakers should/could engage Brooklyn in a trade of Westbrook and a FRP for Simmons and Harris. Then trade Durant in the summer.
Dallas has already made their desperation move. The roster fit is suspect unless two of the most ball dominant players in the league buy in. Kyrie needs to keep his head down and play his role as Robin. Can Dallas make another move?
The rest is probably a reshuffling of role players. The posturing is starting with 2 days left. Phoenix, Toronto, Utah, San Antonio, Miami are all in he mix with our Knicks. A few other teams like Cleveland, Boston, Milwaukee, 76ers are looking for minor tweaks.
The western conference....eh, I don't know fuck all about any of those teams. Is GS cooked? maybe its time to kick Draymond down the road for an asset? Maybe trade the boots for vets?
A bunch of teams need some help but is anyone selling? So far I can't tell if this year is going to be ho hum or explosive.
For me, this is where I start getting nervous about my team. I want us to upgrade, but I am also attached to certain players that I don't want to see traded. I am less attached to draft picks especially the protected ones from other teams. I do recognize that we have a roster and cap problem and tough choices are going to need to be made
