Okay. So what happens if they don't win?
What then?
Why did you take my post out of context?
Why did you leave out this part (below)...
If we're to potentially pass Brooklyn within the Standings?
Tonight is 100% a must win.
Why didn't you include the actual meaning behind the must win?
You wanna be 4 games back of Brooklyn with an L despite only 23 games remaining or would we have a 100% better chance of passing them while only 2 games back of Brooklyn with 23 games remaining?
It's called, common sense.
So lose tonight, you're out of the 'Knicks can catch them' game.
Lose tonight, and that's IT for catching the Nets, period?
The better question is why are you taking a very overt bleeding heart Knicks fan literally? You can't tell that about his posts? It's not clear enough?

Just wanted to answer this 1 question of yours (above).
The answer is yes.
Because his 1st game as a Knick was just a small sample size of who Josh Hart truly is and what type of style of play he's always played with.
• Extremely Efficient on Offense (FG% of +.500% throughout the previous 2 years) and went 50% from the field vs. Utah
• Relentless Defender (he's always been a Defensive Energizer) and we witnessed it with 4-5 steals vs. Utah.
• The best NBA Wing-Rebounder within the entire league (we witnessed him grab 19 boards against our Knicks earlier this year) and just watched him record 7 Rebounds vs. Utah.
• Playmaker for his teammates (he's averaged exactly 4.0 Assists throughout the previous 2 years ala 106 games) and we just watched him 1st hand go out there and put up 4 Assists during his NY debut vs. Utah.
• Excels in Transition and loves get out and run on the fast break (This year ranks #1 amongst all NBA Players in Transition Usage Rate @ over 33%) and during Utah we seen multiple examples of his style of play. Hit Obi Toppin for a fast break layup. Caught a Brunson assist and finished with a transition layup of his own and then hit one of his teammates for a made 3 in Transition etc.
All of those (5) examples are examples of who he is as a basketball player and/or what type of style he's always played with; he's as scrappy as they come and it dates back to Villanova too (he was the best overall player on their 1st Championship winning team and led them in both Points and Rebounds that year).
Josh Hart is an absolute STEAL @ the trade deadline

If the Knicks don't win tonight we're not catching Brooklyn in the Standings (it'll become too difficult with not a lot of time left).
Simple as that man.
Loss Tonight =
4.0 games back of Brooklyn (with only 23 games remaining) + just lost the Season-Series H2H tie breaker to them (meaning we're actually 4.5 games back of them).
Win Tonight =
Only 2.0 games back of Brooklyn (with 23 games remaining) + a chance to still split the Season-Series H2H tiebreaker against them (Come March 1st).
I don't know. I'm no mathematical wizard but the difference of a W tonight (vs Brooklyn) in comparison to an L tonight (vs. Brooklyn) seems pretty astronomical (considering the fact we'll only have 23 games remaining in order to catch them).
Must win for the Playoffs? Heck no
Must win to catch Brooklyn? Yes. Without question.

Imo, their depth will make them better than a team with just Irving.
Cam Johnson, Dinwiddie, Bridges, Cam Thomas, Finney Smith, Claxton, Harris, O'Neal, Mills, Curry
But like I said, let's kick some ass.
How did they easily beat us last game when it was an extremely close game until the final minutes/seconds?
And none of those mediocre/average/no name players can hold Kyrie Irving's jockstrap on an NBA Court ala Kyrie Irving absolutely destroyed us last game (especially in the 4th Q) with 32 Points, 9 Assists, 6 Rebounds and 2 Steals along with a +/- of +17.
I'd literally trade every single Nets player you named for just 1 Kyrie Irving and I'm just excited to know they're no longer got Kyrie Irving, James Harden and Kevin Durant + Ben Simmons (waste) has just been benched for Brooklyn.
And I agree; let's kick some ass because this place will be on 🔥🔥🔥🔥 afterwards. I'm already getting the feeling this Knicks vs. Nets game thread will break UK's 2022-2023 Record for most posts within a single game thread (I'm already loving the atmosphere).
Knicks were down 13 at half. As many as 12 late in third. As many as 14 late in fourth. So....
If you feel the Nets are mediocre, than guess there is nothing to worry about tonight's "must win"?
And If you say the Nets are so mediocre and bad without Irving and KD, then what's the concern about us not being able to pass them?
Sounds to me like you think they will drop quickly. I just do not agree that they are mediocre. Have followed a lot of those players you think are average and they are not. Think they will surprise. Think this wont be an easy game or that it is a must win.
But hope I am wrong and that your claim of them being mediocre holds true and it is an easy game.
Let's agree that we both want the Knicks to kick some ass. Also Agree with you that the Garden will be rockin.
Go Knicks!!

Looks like they're thinking ahead to a playoff run. Having Hart on the roster is reassuring. The ball movement was improving before he became a Knick, but it looks like its going to get even better.

Interesting lineup. Has length and can hit threes, both things that have given the Knicks trouble this season.
Obi is going to have a very good game.
It's game time.
Let's put an END to this Brooklyn Nets 9 game winning streak again us.
Nets attacking Brunson. First Bridges, then Johnson.
Julius in all star form early.
Julius Randle on fire already first 7 points off 3/3 shooting too!
NYKMentality wrote:Julius Randle on fire already first 7 points off 3/3 shooting too!
Ah.. remember those calls for trading him for scraps? Good times.
How is JB not in All Star game. Not even as a injury sub last week. Smh
32-26 Knicks after 1.
1 quarter @ a time but keep outscoring Brooklyn like this every Q and we'll make a STATEMENT with a 20-25+ point win (blowout).
So Hart to starting lineup not looking like such a weird thought.
I love Obi. But for the sake of this season he either had to pick it up or we should get a G League all star or a waiver wire move. Hell I think Melo would be a better outside shooter and he has the aggressive play we need from that spot
