If obi can continue that type of play— it’s gotta be a top 3 or even premier bench. I like McBride but he was a weak spot. With hart unit 2 is scary good
This whole season is turning into a better, more sustainable version of 2020 season.

Hard to predict which Obi will show up. He seems to play better if he drives before shooting. Loosens him up a little. Even a miss.
The important thing is Obi not relying only on his 3pt shooting. Lots of cutting, the occasional drive. That will help keep the offense running. Better than camping in the corner.
The Knicks deep bench depth would take the Knicks to the 2nd round of the playoffs.
The Knicks roster success lies in an all bench lineup (2nd unit).
D.Rose (McBride, Quickley, Hart (Reddish), Toppin, and Hartenstein (Sims) lineup the Knicks would have 40 wins before playing 60 games.

If Obi can continue what? He’s been terrible this year on both ends. Knicks do have something sustainable with Quickley, Hart, and Hartenstein, but need a big shooter in place of Toppin most likely.
That Memphis bench is pretty tough when healthy. I dunno where we fit in, but I do feel more confident now that Hart is here. Do we need more production from? Not sure give the minutes Randle gets. I would like a bigger defensive forward tho.

A shooter needs Picks & Screens, I haven't seen any picks or screens for Fournier in two season.
Plus the Knicks offense has been a half-court set offense on every possession walking the ball down court to go one on one (ISO-ISO-ISO) offense.
Randle and Brunson never push the ball on offense or throw a full court pass to speed up the tempo of the game. The Knicks are not an up-tempo team .. although the Knicks have up-tempo players in D.Rose, McBride, Quickley, Barrett, Toppin, and Hartenstein. Butt Randle & Brunson control the ball !!!

The biggest difference is an electric Jalen Brunson @ PG vs. Elf and Rose.
I wasn't alive for the Walt Clyde Frazier days and is it just me or is Jalen Brunson our favorite Knicks PG of All-Time?
In regards to our bench?
C: Isaiah Hartenstein/Jericho Sims.
PF: Obi Toppin.
SF: Josh Hart.
PG/SG: Immanuel Quickley.
That's an electric 2nd unit. I just wish Derrick Rose could get another opportunity to run it.

Do you think there saving him for the end of the season? Is it wishful thinking to believe Rose is going to light it up like 2021 in the playoffs.

Rose is just toast. Happens to the best of them

Why you got to be trolling Kemet?
It's funny. When I clicked the thread the first thing I thought was depending on which Obi shows up. Poor guy has probably cost the Topping family 20 million this season. I think NY will give IQ an extension this summer, maybe even in the RJ range, while Obi might have to hit RFA next summer.

I was alive for the Frazier days and yes Clyde was better than Brunson, who I love

That would be frontrunning. Brunson has been a Knick for only a few months. Clyde helped bring two championships to NY. Is a HOFer. Big Brunson fan but cmon.
Also saw Clyde in his prime at MSG in the early 70s. He was a championship PG when NY really was the Mecca of basketball. Clyde owned.
Clyde sacrificed stats when he accepted Earl for the greater good. Clyde was that good.
Brunson stats in a high pace era won’t tell the whole story.
Look up and see banners. HOF, first signature shoe, and the legend that has lasted decades. Clyde’s DNA was winning.
All this in an era that did not promote players like they don these days. Clyde was a star and the hype was low.
