Don’t necessarily disagree with you but monitor their performance rest of this season.

Both were playing off/of elite stars in Luka, KD and Kyrie —- I think some shine will come off as they are asked to do more.

Knicks are gonna be a little land-locked this offseason, even declining Rose's option.

The only 'low-level' guys are Toppin, McBride and Sims.

The only non-usef guy is fournier, but do you use him for a low-level trade, or save him for a big fish?

Knicks might be limited to the MLE. And given their proximity to the tax threshold and apron, using it isn't a non-brainer.

highly doubt they sign anyone. They will let Rose walk, maybe draft someone (I would not be surprised if we kick the pick down the road for more future #1 again) and run it back with the same guys and that would be fine.

I do think there's a scenario where we make a big trade for Towns. Like RJ/Obi/IQ for KAT.
We play Brunson/Grimes/Hart/Jules/KAT and our bench is build around McBride/Mitch

Seems you are forgeting Wilt, aka, Mitchell Robinson.

I would hate to see a move for KAT.

I think Fournier/Obi and a draft pick might be a way to clear cap, get a more solid fit for Thibs.

That said, this FO has proven to make really solid moves that eventually pan out or are easily erased.

I sure as hell hope not on KAT (and don't think so) but we're more or less on the same page. I think its either a big trade in the offseason, or run it back essentially the same and try again at the deadline.

If nothing materializes then, then it's RJ or bust until a huge cap jump creates some cap room (which WILL happen).

Maybe.. just puts the star trade to bed for a little while, unless the guy you sign becomes a trade asset.

mattshaw78 @ 3/1/2023 5:08 PM
I like that the Knicks is making some noise now. That being said, RJ still needs a lot of work. On defense, he has a hard time to fight off the pick and has like slow feet.

I'm in this camp. Don't see how KAT fits well with Jules and Mitch, plus why mess with Jules' confidence

i think it would be for a 2 or 3

Primetime Wednesday:
New York vs New Jersey.
Cleveland @ Boston.
Philadelphia @ Miami.

Let's go Celtics, let's go Miami and it's GO NY GO NY GO.

NYK Win.

+

CLE Loss.

+

Philly loss.

=

• Only 1.5 back of the 4 seed (Cavaliers).
• Only 3.5 back of the 3 Seed (76ers).

I'm expecting a Thibs led dominant Defensive Performance tonight being led by Grimes, Hart, Quickley and R.J (on the perimeter) with our Shot Blocker and Rim Protector Mitchell Robinson playing behind them (against a Nets offense without a single NBA Star player).

Knicks by 30+.

Good they keeping him connected with the team. He needs a double dose of development. Learn from hart while on the bench and then watch him show and tell. Plus IQ and Grimes. All guards that are two way. But Grimey jumper looking good though. Watch out. Less mins got him hungry I see.
