100% agreed.

Lakers practically for free added Russell, Vandy, Beasley, Rui and Bamba on a team that already had Lebron/Ad — we on the other hand only had room for J Hart who has been SUPER.

Other guys like McDaniels (Sixers), Bey (Hawks), Gordon (Clippers), Richardson / Barto…etc…etc…were out there for reasonable prices but we had enough ——— or did we?

Hachimura is what the team wants out of Obi. The price was probably higher then they wanted to pay and less then LA paid. Same for Vandy, Russell,Beasley,Bomba, and the others you mentioned. The Knicks tax is real

As is the Lakers discount.

Are all of these young players free agents ?

Can't be too mad at any loss without Brunson to be honest. We're simply not a good team. We'd struggle to make the play-in without him. He's that important and that impactful.

Can't be mad at the effort either. We were in most of the game. IQ and Grimes were good in that first quarter. Obi gave us some nice minutes in that second quarter too. Game really got away from us at that end of the third.

Disappointed in Randle. We've all been singing his praises the entire season not only for his play but how much better he's acted during games. But this was a setback. I totally get and understand getting frustrated shooting 3/19 and not getting any calls but you cannot lose it like that. Not when we're still in the game and we need you without Brunson. Randle was selfish and childish. I really hope this is just a bump on the road but I have t admit I'm worried. He's been the Randle of last year the past 3 games.

RJ also needs to pick it up. We need him. Everyone needs to bring it. Or we're looking at a long losing streak that will pretty much erase that 9 game win streak and drop us back.

Team has a easier schedule coming. Team has shown heart all year and will recover. Maybe a 5 game losing streak at most but I can see them beating the Lakers tonight. That Charlotte game was a big loss, we needed that win but Thibs gotta Thibs and should have tested more than he players who played 40 mins against Boston. Yet, let them refocus and let Julius have a make up game. Lakers are talented but let's go.

JR definitely has issues...just wish we move on from him and get what we can before the whole league discovers these issues and becomes worthless. He should not be in the Knicks future.
On balance he hurts us.

Always liked Hachi, Beasley and Vanderbilt. Good glue guys that always hustle like JHart. Lakers now have several of those. But too bad we will kick their asses today.

Randle is not in a quiet place. He has turrets when it comes to refs. Just can't let it go.
Issue will be getting JB back. Getting Randle back. Getting RJ back.
The former much easier than the latter's.

Welcome back. It's been a while. Trade him for scraps?

Hot Garbage.

I was slightly encouraged though towards end of 1st half (I think) when Thibs was disgusted with RJ’s D…called timeout and just stared at RJ walking to bench - then inserted Grimes/Hart at 2/3. Made me happy for a minute.

But he did this to Randle who was worse then RJ ?

No - he didn’t and never does.

I can only think Thibs believes Julius is a potential powder keg that he will, lose emotionally if he ever benched him. Wish it weren’t the case but agree he doesn’t bench Julius for any reason.

Need Brunson foot issue not to be chronic — given all of his shakin & bakin Jalen’s feet may be more important to him than most because he requires significant footwork to get many of his shots off.

I am worried about his long term 2-3 year health considering all the hits he takes

Need to put Jules in a padded room with straight jacket on for a bit - he is on a BENDER emotionally right now. Needs his meditation badly right now if we are going to steal 1 or 2 games in LA or Portland.

Nah. Just needs to get it together. He is our best player and we go how he goes. So padded cell will be where fans will be if he does not turn it around. Judging by the return of the piranhas today, they are circling ready to take over.

I don't want him traded Julius is our guy. However, have to admit Julius is our family member with mental illness. We just have to hope he had a episode that he will get past
