OKC = 36-36.
Toronto = 35-37.
Minnesota = 36-37.
Na. No thank you.
I'll rather do it the New York Knicks way (42-31).

I can’t take you seriously.
You’ve essentially argued that because the Knicks have a better record today than 3 out of the 4 teams another poster named as focusing on long players (casually ignoring Mil is the best team in the league), you state that you prefer the “Knicks” way.
Meanwhile, all of the teams you name may be better than they mention and each of them give the Knicks headaches head to head.
I don’t think these 4 teams are the analytical proof or disproof of biometrics. But you’ve dumbed it down further with your win loss test.
All I am saying is that if I am choosing between two players that are otherwise similarly ranked for draft purposes, I would choose a player with better biometrics over polished play. It’s easier to get more polish than to add inches.
IQ, Toppin, McBride and Sims fit this model. RJ, Grimes are more the skill pick. So it’s not an absolute rules. I can’t predict with absolute certainty that biometrics will beat skill. So many other things come into play. Opportunity, effort, teamwork. But in a vacuum, it’s easier to add skill than inches.

exactly... see my post above. Tall is nice. Better is better. Frank/Knox/Cam were tall... McBride/IQ/Grimes are not... but they ARE better. Add Hart/Brunson to that mix and you have a lot of good (and short by NBA standards) players.
Why does there have to be a false dilemma fallacy? We had McBride/IQ/Grimes with Cam and Frank.

You have to wonder if our regular season record is effort based and not talent based. 2020 we got the 4th seed based on effort. I think we have a lot more talent this year but this roster has vulnerabilities— namely we can’t defend tweener forwards. That’s why I think Giannis would have us for breakfast in the playoffs
30 years of watching nba I see it almost every year. A team with mediocre talent wins 45-50 games simply based on 10 guys hustling every night. Lots of nba players frankly are lazy and give 50% effort a lot of nights you can beat them in regular season games in February simply by playing harder. Then the playoffs happen and it’s first round exit. Not saying that will happen with this team I like our talent level this year but the roster has a defensive flaw

why you talking about your limp dong? "We had McBride/IQ/Grimes with Cam and Frank" and WHO did we keep? This is a really simple point. Keep your flaccid dilemma out of it

Good post!
Not sure about lazy efforts.
Seedings don’t tell the full view. Matchups matter.
Looks like all of Minnesota's size and length are "
exposing" themselves.
Minnesota has now gone 0-3 (3 Consecutive loses).
Minnesota is only a 9th seed (Play-In) @ best and might completely fail @ even making the Play-In @ that.
Minnesota is nothing more than a below .500 (mediocre) losing basketball team who could only wish and dream to have Knicks type players both currently and moving forward as well.
Yes.
I can understand talking about wanting or needing more size/length on the wings.
Etc.
But to use the MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES as an "example"?
In my opinion was an insane example because Minnesota didn't "expose" anyone, other than themselves (throughout all of 2022-2023).
