This one hurts. Not old enough to have seen those championship teams, but still felt like you had a strong connection to him with all of the stories Clyde shares on the broadcasts. When you think about the history of the NBA, always felt there were a limited number of truly iconic moments. Reed walking out of the tunnel was one of the biggest (and one of the reasons I'll never let the fake Paul Pierce wheelchair bullshit go). Gives chills every time you watch it.

Lost both Bill Russell and Willis Reed within a year of eachother...

First Knicks game I ever went to was during the 71'-72 season. I was 8.

My earliest memories of Reed were his battles in the paint.

Willis Reed was a leader in every sense of the word. Rest in Peace.
