Was - protected to 14; lotto team
Knicks- lotto protected; playoff bound (as of now)
Dallas - protected to 10; likely pick 9 or 10
No second rounder
Don't understand this post. The Washington and Dallas picks were always protected. They never 100% had 3 picks in this draft.
Really it is just a choice of would you prefer Josh Hart and no picks or no Josh Hart and one pick?

Note that we don’t even mention that Detroit pick.

Forgot about that one. I was focused on the lack of knowledge in the first round. My bad.
We need to stop describing this as a stacked draft. Yes there’s always good players found later in the draft, but this is typically been dulled down as a pretty mediocre draft pool based on the college season.

The college draft pool is underwhelming for sure
Wondering what your motive to sell negative propaganda is. Washington pick is still in play with less protections going forward. Dallas pick could still play out nicely, even if not that was part of the offloading of KP for cap space that got us Randle, Morris (who essentially became IQ), and the other Dallas #1 that was parlayed into Grimes. And oh yeah our pick was part of getting JHart, who has played damn well.
But there's no fun in mentioning all that right? I swear some posters see this as performance art or something.

It's the old NY Post trick, someone writes the article, editor creates the title for clicks

lol
A lot of the talent in this years draft is international, g league ignite, overtime elite; plus college.
These threads will be fun after the Mavs lose the next 3 games

Which 5 players do you like who's projected outside of the top 15?

Always loved b miller - he shocked during the tournament; I picked them to go all the way
The draft keeps getting shaken up. Lots of movement
I liked Hendricks and Rupert- they have risen
Others:
17 +10
JalenHood-Schifino - something is off here. He feels like Halliburton, but I’m not sold
6-6 215 PG Indiana Fr.
18 -2
KrisMurray - plays well. If he could be as good as his brother...
6-8 220 SF/PF Iowa Jr.
19 -4
CasonWallace - the big PG we are lacking? Could learn from d rose
6-4 195 PG Kentucky Fr.
20 +4
LeonardMiller - huge SF - shades of cam though? IQ questions
6-10 210 SF G-League Fr.
21 -1
JettHoward - big SG, no defense though
6-8 215 SG Michigan Fr.
22 -3
TerquavionSmith -
6-4 165 PG/SG NC State So.
23
TrayceJackson-Davis - a seasoned old school player in the post, undersized at C, too plodding at PF
Let’s see if Hawkins rises more and wins the tournament
Uconn has some players
Am I the one who doesn't care? LOL
I'm personally sick of the draft and lottery and all that bs!

I care. You need grade A talent to win, and typically get that talent by drafting well. Look at Mitch, rj, iq, grimes; to a lesser extent McBride, obi and sims- all draft picks. Extremely valuable for team building. Smart signings like randle, Brunson, iHart, drose (his influence is felt strongly here too) and one trade for hart, help build too.
Look at all the top teams, really mainly built through the draft and supplement with trades, signings
It’s very hard to sign free agents, and almost always an overpay.

We’ve been building primarily through the draft in recent years
We are a young enough roster that not having picks 2 years in a row isn’t necessarily a killer but still
