I would hope so. We were playing a team that is trying to lose on purpose at home.

Remember when Quick couldn't breakdown defenses? Once he learned to do it everything opened up for him. McBride is in the same situation. If he can learn to constantly breakdown the defends he will make a huge leap.

Great win and Quickley was awesome. Still holding out hope he can develop into a star himself.

Just win baby!
I know IQ had 40 and he was great but damn if i don’t enjoy watching w Harts, Deuce, Grimes and Obi playing D, scrapping, getting out on break. Playing together.

Bless the schedule makers cause the tanking Rockets was exactly what we needed to stop the bleeding!
I don't think I'm being a homer when I say this but I think IQ might just be our best draft pick since Ewing. Think of how many draft busts we've had here and how we've failed time and time again to develop players. Think back to IQ's rookie season and even at times last season how bad he was. He was involved in tons of trade rumors but kudos to the kid for working hard and making himself almost irreplaceable! I know it was against the Rockets but 40 points is still 40 points! Impressive and incredible performance from him! He was just on and scored any time he wanted. Hit his threes, hit the floaters and he's starting to show a little bit of Brunson like footwork! I love this kid! All basketball, no drama! Got to sign him long term! But I'm getting worried he might be looking for a Brunson type contract and role. If that is the case, I honestly would give it to him and let him at the 2. Can't lose a guy that WE have drafted and developed!
Good to see Rob getting back to blocking shots and protecting the paint! Loved how he got angry at the guard who were allowing opposing guards into the paint. Rob took it upon himself to shut that down in the second half. Good to also see Obi play well. He had a great fourth quarter when we really pulled away. This just a 9 point game towards the end of the third before Randle hit that big three to end that quarter.
These next 2 games are going to feel like a mini playoff games against Miami and Cleveland. We'll see where we are. Got to hope Brunson can play and most importantly that he is healthy cause we have no shot at doing anything in the playoffs without him.

He’s no Mitch offensively —- once we start creating ISO’s for Mitch the earth will stop spinning.

There's nothing stopping Mitch from taking some initiative.

So one of the things that took me some time to appreciate is how Brunson comes out early looking to score the ball very aggressively. Traditionally I think of a PG coming out and getting the rest of the team into a rhythm along with getting them shots.
I’ve come to appreciate that Brunson is setting the tone right off the bat and basically getting us into an attacking/downhill mindset.
Either IQ has just watched and picked up on that or maybe more likely Brunson is in his ear telling him to come out aggressive scoring the ball. Used to infuriate me watching IQ dribble around the perimeter going sideways but now he is living in the paint —- think Brunson may deserve some credit here.
