Our boy has grown up. Quick has all star gravity on the court now.

NY favorite part about that play believe it or not.
Was Isiah Hartenstein's BOX OUT (right before Obi Toppin's catch and shoot for 3).

It's been Grime Time a lot these past few games.
If teammates see him when he's open...If they get him the ball when he's in position for a good shot or when he cuts to the basket, he is going to perform.
When Randle, Brunson, RJ, & now IQ, all treat him as an equal, his consistency will continue to improve.
He should be getting at least 10 good shots/game. Grimes is the kind of player who does better when his team is playing unselfishly. IMO, so hopefully, his numbers will continue to be good.

What I’ve been thinking but not seeing that anywhere by normal media - maybe we’re missing something?

Obi going to look very good when he gets guys that are consistently looking for him.Something is wrong with Thibs, Brunson shouldn’t be playing these extra minutes with a huge lead. We need to prioritize keeping him fresh for the playoffs.
He took a shot to his hand. If we cant hold a lead without Brunson...
Thibs us an idiot sometimes- was yapping for him to take Brunson out. Of he doesn’t, Jalen doesn’t back off and gets hand slapped and idiot Thibs subs out Quick.

Yep - I love Obi but he’s not rebounding and still falling asleep on D a few times a night.
He had inside position on a pg tonight got pushed out of way…pg grabbed board pump faked and scored on Obi inside. A meaningless play but Obi needs to know Tom counts that stuff against him.
Some good Thib quotes. Everyone laughed at Dolan when he said we can make the playoffs if we just survive the Mitch injury. Looks like he was right. I always like to hear how much Grimes worked in the summer.
.....would be proud.
Remember when we wanted an offensive coordinator and Thibs was "inflexible".
There is a design and he coaches to what he has on the floor.
The pace with knicks is very good.
It slows down in the playoffs and perhaps we have the firepower to switch gears like we did vs. Clev this week.

I'll add: lots of folks have asked(?) that Thibs be more creative with his offense.
Dude just took a starting lineup with 2 inept offense players in RJ and Mitch, 2 ISO heavy guys in Randle and Jalen, and a bench that is definitely top rated, and made them a low TO, heavy rebounding team that created the environment for the Knicks offense to be historically rated.
I don't know how much more creative you can get within the talent space that the Knicks roster is defined.
We are in! Super proud! Thought we'd be a play-in team going into the season and this team has overachieved for the second time in three years! Kudos to everyone from the front office to Thibs to Brunson to Randle and the rest of the players! It's been a fun season!
Got scary in the first half with Kispert looking like Chris Mullin but the team got serious defensively in the second half and took care of business. Four guys with over 20 points! First time in 5 years!
Great signs what we are getting offensively from Grimes with Randle out! That jumper is just on right now and he's making so many good decisions when driving to the basket! Good to see Obi hit some shots and get 20 too. Without Randle my biggest worry was lack of scoring but this team seems to have a lot of weapons. Should be a blood bath against Cleveland!
Now that we are in, no point in trying to be macho. Rest guys! Especially the vets! My heart dropped when Hart hurt his ankle! We can't go into the playoffs limping in! We're going to need everything we have against Spida and that team!
