Have Evan Fournier work with him all summer on his shooting. Evan is under contract and help him transition to a coaching career by working with RJ.
On the plus side of last night's loss, RJ looked pretty good again, minus a couple of times he got trapped near the end. Even hit a jump shot or two. Keep it up young Rowan! We're going to need it!

Yes he again played well. I didn’t like some of what he did late in the 4th qtr but overall he had a good game and he, JB and Obi were the only reasons the game was even competitive
Can RJ and Jules thrive at the same time? Is there a future with one but not the other?
First period we saw the ball moving with RJ playmaking.
The midrange is coming back and he had confidence.
Grimes was tentitive but be good if he can shake some rust and give Jhart some rest.
Not for nothing but hitting layups and simple mid range shots should be the expectation for RJ, like average game.
Now we just have to work on 4th quarter RJ who is more bowling ball going for a strike against defenders who have very pin like standing stances about them.

I know StarJay won’t come easy for you and your not incorrect. if your expectation is for him to carry the team on his back in the 4th you might have to wait a few more seasons for that. He is not Kobe or Lebron at 22.
We just trying to get his stats with consistency and efficiency.
Miami heat defense is their trademark.

RJ had a pretty good game, this should be norm for him IMHO. I'm not sure what your reference to carrying the 4th quarter comes from; I'm just talking about not thinking running over opponents is a thing.

StarJay wanted to bullyball them. He was feeling his “Inner Jimmy”.
RJ has had some very good results vs. heat in his career!
Yes, this should be the norm. But for now its better than his previous 10-15 games.
I think we finally found the answer! He needed to adjust his shooting form. RJ has looked like the 25 million dollar man the last few games. I hope he can keep it up!

For me, this is a bit scary. Every 3-4 months he needs to adjust his shooting form. I am boggled as to why it keeps getting messed up

RJ has never been a fluid looking player. When movements are very mechanical its easy to lost form. There are phases where he has a softer touch and looks smooth finishing and others where its clunky af. He is a hard man to pin down.
