Other stars are gonna want to play with Brunson. Brunson is a superstar himself!!!

Thanks for the enjoyable season Jalen!!

Brunson is the best Knick free agent signing ever.

Wasn't JB a second round pick?
We consolidated multiple second rounders into one good one!

Depends on what kind of star. Some will need/want to take most of the shots. JB is a ball heavy player who also needs to take a lot of shots to be effective. Which I am okay with. Think we need an elite shooting star. Someone that who can burn teams if they do what Miami did this series.

He did play with Luka who is one of the more ball dominant players in the league. Some ppl even believed is effectiveness was due to Luka. Then he balled without Luka in playoffs, then proved it wasn't a fluke this season.

He has been super efficient his whole career. He averaged 8,7,9,13 shots his first 4 yrs until jumping to 17-18 this one. Not to mention he has the personality and leadership skills that can fit with pretty much anyone.

I still don’t understand why if Brunson was the plan all along…

They handed out contracts to Rose, Fournier, Noel. (Burks was a good signing) A guy like Monk was a Kentucky guy and begging to come and they could have just gone that route and stayed younger.

Brunson is special, a leader a superstar, but sloppy moves like Reddish and those contracts led to three first rounders sacrificed to get to there. Everyone makes mistakes, Brunson is the eraser.

Successful season, the coach just worries me. Rotations were challenging and he could have done more to help Jalen out there.

I'm not sure we can say that Brunson was the plan all along at the time of the Fournier signing. I think it's more like Dallas dropped the ball and gave the Knicks an opening to sweep in. They were also monitoring the Donovan Mitchell situation. Doesn't mean they had a definitive plan in place to get him. Another thing to keep in mind is that you need salary balasts in place to make trades work. Yeah you need desirable young assets as well, but these guys are going to be on inexpensive deals. Lastly, I like Monk, but the last thing this roster needed was a short combo guard. They already had IQ and were trying to find minutes for Grimes. They ended up getting Hart, who made more sense. I think every can agree that the Reddish move was a cluster f#*k on so many levels. No need to rehash. As for Thibs, I can the see time coming when the team needs to move on, but I can't say it's now. He did get this club to the 2nd round of the playoffs when a lot of pundits had us struggling to make the play-in.

The contracts for Burks, Noel and Kemba, while not one year deals, were still team friendly deals that were relatively easy to get off the books. It also helped that Burks and Noel were still effective players
