I might be all wrong on this but i don't think i've ever seen Ingram play with any fire. Also does anyone have any sense of whether he's clutch?i agree with an earlier post that oddly enough Zion may be more attainable.
He is rail thin, not really durable, has a blood disorder and I doubt can guard 4 positions as advertised. He can shoot and is a very good player. We lost 4 of 5 and we all about “we need shooting”. If his shot does not fall is he complete enough to stay on the court for Thibs?
I think Pelicans would trade Zion before Ingram. He's a stud!
Apparently Ingram rubbed some of his teammates the wrong way during the season. Not that I would want a malcontent on our team but he is the type of reliable scorer we need. RJ, Obi & and Fornier expiring for Ingram & Nance with a resigned Hart & Quick really gives us a nice team.
Pg- Brunson,Quickly, Duece
Sg- Grimes, Hart
Sf- Ingram, (Hart)
Pf- Randle, Nance
C- Mitch,Hartenstein,Sims
Also Ingram, Hart, Randle & Nance previously played together.

Now that’s a nice lineup / team. And the big 3 solid. I think we will miss RJs downhill skill set which is so valuable to have. I’m not sure who else on the team will provide that skill. But we need a balance of shooters and guys who can get to the rim. And maybe moving RJ gives JB more room to operate in the paint. With Ingram you can’t leave him like most defenders do when guarding RJ.
So lets bring the malcontent here?
Reunite ex-Pelicans is a good thing?
Im down for trades that improve the team as much as anyone.
When shooters don’t make the shots, and it happens, they need to do other things. Thats the Thibian way.
Gonna be a fun summer.

he didnt want to play hurt or play through any discomfort. Team docs cleared him to play after a toe injury after a couple weeks and he didnt play for 2 months.

Wonder how the Pels feel about Zion and his play status?
Been pushing Jerami Grant.
Version of Ingram without having to give up assets.

So Portland gonna sign and trade one of their best guys out of the kindness of their heart? Who are we sending back? Grant wants a HUGE payday

Have they resigned him?
Isn't that what they said about JB?
He is a UFA. So better shot than Ingram. Imho
Rumor is that Grant is waiting to see what Portland does with the rest of the roster.
Rumored $30 million not that huge with upcoming CBA.
I'll take Ingram for RJ but that would give us two PFs.
As you said with Grant, why would Pels give us one of their best players for RJ and picks?
Because RJ and Zion are friends?
Think thats overblown. As was Ingrams issues with Pels.
Not sure he is waiting on what Portland does but seems Lillard would be before asking for a trade. Does Grant want to get paid or win?
I dont see us in the FA pool like that. As known, Im not negative on RJ. Now, if FO trades RJ and has the money then perhaps its a fit. Knicks don’t have to do anything, but if they don’t what will we talk about?

Portland will have a big decision. Pivot to draft or stay with Lillard, Simmons and Grant who will have over $100 million tied up. Is that enough to get them to the finals?
By the end of the season, RJ was doing a better job of sharing the rock. Found Mitch for more alley-oops than anyone else during the season. More than Brunson. If that player shows up next season, I don't believe Ingram is a good idea at this point.
As others have mentioned, Ingram has had his share of injuries. RJ is one of the most durable players in the league. RJ is getting good enough for this move to look like a lateral one, when you factor in durability.
If RJ was being moved, SGA would be someone I would want to see the FO pursue. He gives us that legit first or second option we need. It also gives Brunson the opportunity to be more of a distributor. Won't have to carry the offense as much as he did, at times this season.

Grant is a good target if Portland rebuilds and Knicks want to move on from RJ. He’s a good shooter and defender, plus can score in isolation. He’s a 3-4 so he can play both. He’s the type that is built for playoffs. Complete player.

Ingram doesnt play. He misses tons of games. You are trading productive players for him.
Who are we trading to Portland? UFA doesnt mean shit unless its a sign and trade or you have cap space. Sure Grant is nice. What's your path for adding him

SGA? What do you think a deal would like there? Maybe Brunson and Randle?

We know they dont want picks. Definitely not just offer RJ. Would have to include another player. Neither IQ or Randle had a great playoffs, but IQ is a lot younger and improving, an elite defender, and can play 3 positions.
IQ would be closer to the timeline of recent OKC draft picks. Not that I'm in a hurry to trade IQ or RJ, but they would be the main pieces of a deal. This is the kind of player we should be pursuing IMO. Someone who will really move the needle. Not sure Ingram would be that player over RJ.
Only inevitables - death, taxes, and trade Randle.
We keep talking about SGA over the last few years and he keeps improving. What an incredible trade for them!
I don't see why they would move him? He is only turning 25 this summer!
As for UFA's, only bad teams have money to spend or they have to dump assets to make room.
Portlands Grant does not have major choices unless a sign and trade presents itself. Depends on what they can do to make Lillard happy.
For all we know they might want to trade him and rebuild!!!!!!
Randle ATL series was one thing. Playing on an ankle that needed surgery is another.
IQ too go banged up. Playoffs can raise value but there is more to the short sample. IQ was runner up 6th man of the year and got a lot of cred from it.

unless SGA brandishes a gun in the locker room or on court during a game, I don't see why OKC would entertain a trade. I thought Fish was crazy with a Brunson and Randle for SGA, but when I looked at the numbers he put up, I realized I would never make that trade if I were OKC.

SGA probably one of the most untouchable players in the league. I was kinda joking man which is why I included Brunson. Jokic, Giannis and Luka would be good fits also. Kinda like why bother tho.
Ingram gets a thread cause he's got warts and issues. But yeah... SGA would be nice.
