We are definitely drafting a C and PF in this draft.
Chandler @ 6/26/2024 8:43 AM
Supposedly Utah is making Kessler available. Would he fit here?

So wild that that is actually the plan LOL

Enrique Freeman is my guy. He is so Knicksy. High character, great rebounder, 2 way player. A worker.

After that its Jamal Shead. Backup PG who is a leader and defensive pest.

Gonna watch a lot of Edey vids this morning.

After watching you would be hard pressed to say this guy is not a steal out of the top 10 or top 5 even. The thing is his size and wingspan would still be dominant in the NBA. Its just his play style that doesnt fit modern offenses right now. But you can get creative.

That's a big body for Thibs to box out with. Would be a near ideal fit for Thibs and a 4/1 motion offense. 24 & 25 for 17 works for me. Freeman or Mogbo with 38.

VDesai @ 6/26/2024 10:12 AM
Is Mogbo basically Batum or Boris Diaw?

More physical, less skilled Diaw. Passing version of Kenneth Faried?

with 3 picks i would totally roll the dice on this. He'd be second unit force. i don't know how other teams will guard him frankly. the issue will be limiting his liability on the other end

I'm super intrigued by this guy. Too powerful for defenders his height, and too explosive for taller guys. plus a handle.

i'm looking for not safe picks that will add a dimension to the team -- someone difficult to pigeonhole, unconventional

Now we need a C who can at least play some minutes. If we lose IHart and it appears we are then we need insurance for Mitch. As much as I love Mitch he can’t stay healthy so we need to get a big man who is ready to play.Wonder if we plan to move up to get a better big man
Jimbo5 @ 6/26/2024 10:34 AM
In Leon we trust! For the most part this front office operates with a plan and sticks to it.im sure they have mapped out all possible roster implications with a trade for Mikal. They have a plan we might be in for another surprise when news breaks out Ihart returns to the knicks for lower than most teams offer him. Im hoping he will be ok to take a discount similar to his intentions to resign with the clippers. If we loose Ihart, im confident the FO will address the center needs in the draft or free agency.

This it seems like the all in move that knicks fans have been waiting for for years and im not disappointed. I dont think this front office will execute an all in move only to fall short because the centet position is a problem.

After watching some videos on Edey, I'm not trading 2 picks to move up a few spots for him. If he is there at 24 or 25, fine, whatever. But I don't think he is a Thibs type Center. I can see him ending up like Boban at the end of the bench. He's a big guy and plays like a 90s Center but those type of guys don't work anymore.
