We should get him.

Who are we going to complain about next year?

Always the primary question.

Do the Nets have room? And maybe you need to attach more than one pick.

I’m intrigued by Jalen smith. Gives us a different type of center and maybe can grow into himself here similar to how Hartenstein did.

Brunson 25m / McBride 5 / Kolek 1.5
Bridges 23m / DDV 12 / McCullar 1.5
OG 37m / Hart 18m / Diadet 2.7
Randle 30m / _______ / ________
Robinson or Hart 14m / _______ / Sims 2

With rounding for ease. Roughly 172m. Assume iHart or Mitch are gone for the sake of this post, that either player is approx 14m. Assume no rookies will be core rotation pieces prior to injuries.

Gotta fill at least two more roster spots.

1) Andre Drummond. His skill and stats are disguised behind Vucevic. In 17 minutes he’s dropping all star numbers and has better offensive rebounding %s than Mitch. I think he can be had for the vet minimum. Goga Bitadze also works, but would have to accept the $5m MLE. A sign in trade with Orl for Bitadze might work with Hart if he accepts 16m or less and we take at least 5mm less for Bitadze.

2) Nicolas Batum. For starters, I want him off Philly. I think he would be a great veteran piece for the second unit. I think adding another natural speaking French player would be positive for Diadet. I’d offer the $5mm non taxpayer MLE. That said, he is getting older and as the Knicks are projecting to be a second apron team, they may want younger players here. Kelly Oubre might be a reasonable thought though he really isn’t a PF.

Who do you have?

Who do you have?

I think you can give OG about 10 minutes at PF, and 10 minutes less at SF which will allow you to play Hart more.

Backup C could be Theis or Eubanks. Backup PF is tough - not sure who fits that is available.

Am I remembering right? That guy was a menace against us in the playoffs

Because our centers couldn’t guard perimeter bigs. Well mainly Hartenstein. It’s his one major drawback.

This would make the top of the East really interesting.

Happy for Bickerstaff...felt like he got a raw deal in Cleveland. The team imoroved every year he walked the sidelines and they finished 4th in the east despite Garland, Mitchell, Mobley and Allen missing significant time last season. Rooting for him to turn that team around and stick it to the Cavs....

Jalen Smith is very bad on D. He can shoot a bit, but Goga is the kind of rim protector the Knicks like / need and at an age where he has upside. He definitely profiles a lot like Hartenstein when we signed him. But at 5mm per I son't know if we have the cash.

This guy just post nonsense, or he have actual contacts? He just posted a farewell to Sims, for example.

So how many minutes into FA does it take before it's not tampering?
