They are making enough collective money to make nearly a billion over 4 years penalty worth it?

I understand this is a general outline but there’s no way the Knicks have all 4 rookies on the active roster. It would essentially leave the roster with 10 non-rookies. I’ll bet McCullar and Hukporti start as 2-way deals (along with Toppin as the third.) Dadiet (being a first round guarantee) and Kolek are the likely 2 on the roster. If the Knicks can bring back Achiuwa that essentially gives them 10, plus the 2 rookies. Then if they can add 2 more vets on minimum contracts they will be in business. Even if it’s someone like Shake Milton, Reggie Bullock etc. Just someone who can break in case of emergency over the course of the season. Obviously we would need to avoid being hard capped at the first apron though.

Is he being literal? He looks puffed up since the end of the season.

If we had to include Deuce to balance the trade, maybe we could have them independently trade Day’ron Sharpe into our trade exception?

I wouldn't go that far Sharpe. They're already babysitting Dadiet. They need veteran, reliable minutes at the backup center spot. Daniel Thies sets hard picks. That's something.

Good one.

Isiah Jackson a Kentucky guy with Sam Rose as his agent. Can the Knicks get him for some 2's and a TPE? Maybe a pick swap?

Another guy I really like is Duop Reath in Portland. Blocks everything. Buried now behind 3 centers

EwingsGlass @ 7/2/2024 8:38 AM
Mo Bamba? More no No Bamba.

VDesai @ 7/2/2024 8:48 AM
What's the deal with Thomas Bryant. He actually has some nice scoring and rebounding numbers and has shot pretty well from 3. Still only 26. I guess he doesn't play any defense?
VDesai @ 7/2/2024 8:55 AM
Another under the radar guy is Omer Yursteven. Showed a lot of promise with the Heat as an undrafted rookie in the preseason. Is absolutely huge and has some raw ability. Definitely a project, but looked really promising and then had some injury issues.

Cava got to be happy about an extension, but concerned he's only committing to 2 years, not 4.
