My original names such as Devin Carter, Ryan Dunn, Jaylon Tyson, and Kevin McCullar still hold up although Carter is starting to play his way into lottery range.
Depending on whether the Knicks have a plan for Jokubaitis this summer or not, they will consider a backup PG. Tyler Kolek and KJ Simpson are 2 nba ready playmakers who could serve as developmental backups to Brunson. If we are trying to a develop a Monte morris or Tyus Jones-type backup, drafting one of them makes sense.

if we dont resign IHart and Precious to team friendly deals I bet we draft a big who can help. Ideally someone more skilled than Jericho.
But my *guess* is we retain IHart and Precious, bring in Rokus to compete for backup PG/SG minutes and kick the can down the road on these two picks and trade them both for 4 more FRPs

A couple of things:
The draft comes before the opportunity to resign Ihart and Achiuwa so who they draft will give us some sort of indication on which way they go there, not the other way around.
Also we haven’t heard a peep about Rokas and he has always indicated he will only come over if there’s a clear opportunity for him, which I don’t really see. I mean he likely comes in as the third string PG behind Brunson and McBride, and that’s if the Knicks even go with a PG behind Brunson in the rotation. As we have discussed in other threads, he could go with hart, bogs, Achiuwa and one of the centers off the bench and not play a traditional PG. Rokas sees this as the deepest team in the league if everyone comes back. Knicks would also have to pay him more than a drafted player. Not ruling it out though. But Knicks could just see a cleaner solution to be drafting someone like Kolek or Simpson and having a true backup PG without the expectation of a rotation spot right away.

IMO we are at a place where we should gamble on the biggest potential player regardless of position. There should be vet PGs that fit the role u just mentioned for cheap &/or for a 2nd rounder.

It's a good spot to be regardless. Trade up, trade back, high potential, perfect fit.... they all options.
It went from looking like there was no way we could fit a draft pick into a role to looking like we actually could pluck some NBA ready guys in the mid first round and get them right into the mix next year.
Well I guess the good news is that our pick is getting better

100%
Same as with Miami and Jaime Jaquez Jr. or Denver with Christian Braun

Yeah these are the types that should be the goal with our picks.
Well now that we’re going to tank….
Only 1.5 games behind the #13 pick. That pick is going to be nice this year, no way DAL can take out of it again.

You KNOW Cuban wants to shout out "HOLD MY BEER"
we could really use a hit on a pick and replenish some youth. I hope we can at least make 1 pick this summer, I understand if we kick one of the picks down the road.

Knicks got 3 picks AND Rokas sitting out there.
Something is going to be up, and in a good way.
