Jacob looks longer to me with a better anchor vs Obi

Obi has 7'2" wingspan and Jacob has a 6'11" wingspan. They're both listed at 6'9", but Obi looks a little taller.

Interesting I would have bet the opposite on the length and height

Could go both ways…..

- meaning Obi staying
- or doing Toppin family a solid before trading Obi to Turkey

I think Jacob Toppin can at least make a layup.

So he can dunk but can't hit the rim from three. Trying to think who he reminds me of?

At least this may push Obi to change his mind about wanting out.

Looks like Jacobs game fits the nba better than Obi’s game. Will be interesting how the knick manage the topin assets. Jacob will follow the deuce McBride route and dominate in the g league to get some burn in the real league.

Jacob plays SF so at least he’s not locked behind a 2x all star. That gives him an advantage already over Obi.

This Jaylen Martin kid has potential. If his jumpshot can develop over the next two years, we found a lottery pick. This kid is a legit 6’6” with long arms and good defensive instincts. He has a solid handle and above-average athleticism. The only reason he was not drafted is his jumpshot is broken. He needs to retool it, put in about 600 shoots a day this summer and work on his overall game in the G league for the next two years, but I like his potential. Even with a broke jumper, this kid scored 14 points a game last season.

Jacob signed an exhibit 10 contract so he will be in training camp vying for the last roster spot. The kid plays hard and smart and has a nose for the ball. I am rooting for him to make the jump to the nba. My gut says he’s more than a G leaguer

the 10 day contract is kind of a ploy, he gets 75K but there is a kicker, he must stay with the G-leauge team for 2 months straight or he forfiets that money.

The Knicks signedthe kid to a G-league contract, and the day after they traded Obi for a 2 bags of donuts, actually the lesser of the bag in each trade outch! they then waived his brothers g-league and gave him that 10 day contract.

If another team signs him to a two way he has that right much better contract and opportunity.

Although the Knicks have now signed three players to fill their three two-way contracts heading into the 2023/24 season, the team is not permitted to withdraw its two-way qualifying offer to Duane Washington Jr. without his permission, in accordance with NBA guidelines, as Fred Katz of The Athletic observes (Twitter links). If Washington were to accept his two-way QO, the Knicks would have to waive one of their two-way players, since they’re not permitted to carry four.

Didn’t know that, thanks
