Just wondering what type of stats does Roby have to produce before we view him as the next back up to Julius versus Roby being even better then Obi and a future starter ? Knicks fans run to the extremes

8ppg and 3rpg while shooting 35% from downtown but needs to average 18&6 as a starter towards the end of the year.

I am curious if Roby can display a solid jumper from outside and the midrange, with abality to stay in front of his man and to grab rebounds while battling down low. Come on Roby, make a name for yourself. Teams that take steps to be competitive get players out of nowhere to be key contributers. Team has developed several draft picks and hit on free agents like Brunsons, Randall, and Heart, Plus we made a great trade in Hart. So a low risk acquisition like Roby would really be the cherry on top. 🔝

in the summer L: 22 PPG and 9 boards per game, with 3 made 3PPG

Oh wow, just wow. He looks like he’s dropped some mass and could be several pounds lighter. He must be taking the off-season very seriously to be in that kind of shape already, like the season Randle won MIP

Hopefully someone from the SL team shines unexpectedly. Knicks are all of a sudden very devoid of talent in the pipeline.

That is what I was looking for. A summer to get some conditioning to go with the bull he put on. That’s the kind of growth I was hoping for. I hope he has a huge year.

If the pick compensation is right he gets traded for Paul George or OG Anunoby. We will see.

Face looks leaner for sure. Combo of losing the teen look and perhaps getting leaner and quicker curious if this mens a return to the 2? This kid did shoot .40% his sophmore year avg a bit over 4 attempts from the 3. He upped it the next year but % dropped to 34%. Interesting to look at his attemps vs. OG who got to 5 attempts per game and career 37% vs RJ 34%. Concern is OG durabilty.
If he wants big money and wants the ball more he’ll never be higher than 3rd option here. I like him as a player but don’t know what he wants going forward and we can talk all day about fit but Massai is not easy to negotiate, OG has career aspirations and Leon is no fool.
This is about SL fun!!!! Im sure we’ll get carried away calling players busts or gods based on first two games! LOL, somethings never change!
Where is RJ in these photo’s? At a Yeshiva gym or in Israel? There is some Hebrew lettering on the wall posters.

I have to tell you, I am back and forth on the durability thing. Knicks players for sure have been very young and lucky, RJ and Randle obviously carrying the largest loads and that does speak for itself.
On the other hand, a team like Miami has practically their entire starting lineup that misses more games than OG year to year give or take.
I am not familiar enough with OG to really dig into his past his games played to and know what types of injuries he has had to know if they are durability or more fluke'ish.

My worries with OG
- think he’s a 4 not a 3 - he’s sloppy with the ball when he tries to do something - offensive game sketch - injuries - he’s not a natural mover/runner —- clunky like RJ - did not move needle despite playing with VF, Siakim, Barnes, Trent Jr

I'm down to Fournier and picks for him. I run hot and cold, but RJ's stock is up in my head.

- RJ could finally have that breakout year and we would have traded the better player AND picks
