Which believe it or not would be a huge accomplishment! We haven't made the playoffs in back to back seasons since 2011/2012 and haven't made the second round in back to back seasons since 1999/2000.
If we had shot better from 3, I think we would have made it to ECF this past season. Let's go blue sky here and take the next step.
ECF...ftw! (Note: Assumes we roll with the team as presently constructed. Major trade could change the equation.)

Yeah, I said it after we lost to Miami, the best move is stand pat. No need to make any force any major roster moves if they force the team into a corner capwise. I'd like Paul George, but realistically, it won't make the team better if they end up giving away too many assets. George is too unreliable health wise too count on. I'm disappointed they didn't get a decent combo forward tho. Yeah, you don't need a beast at PF in this era, but length still matters and this team remains short at the forward spots. We're even shorter now that Obi is gone, unless Roby can prove to Thibs he's a rotation guy.

I agree it would definitely be an improvement.
Brunson being able to stay healthy enough to play at his current level, taking the punishment he does, is a concern.
If this is the squad we start the season with, its going to mean another season of Brunson having to put the team on his back more than he should. Dont want to see a player added who really isnt a good fit, but I dont want to see Brunson carrying the load he does for another season either. Make the most of JB's prime.

We're on the same page about George, I thought that was a route the Knicks have avoided well enough to keep the Knicks youth movement going.
If we're going to target a player who has had some problems staying on the court, I'd like to see the Knicks gamble on someone a lot younger, and target Zion. Or another young star.
We (unfortunately) discovered with Camby in Denver, that this kind of gamble can sometimes pay off.
Hope we find out who the FO has also been pursuing this summer.

Why are you worried about Brunson? He wasn't even top 40 in minutes played and has a compact body that seems pretty injury resistant.

Agree. Problem is I don’t see how we upgrade at talent. The big names that are available (Lillard, PG) their GMs are demanding waaaayyyy too much in return for a trade and we can’t even rely on draft picks because we have none.

Camby and the 8th pick overall which could have been an 18 year old Amare for broken McDyess. As horrible as Isiah was Scott Layden was actually even worse.

Cause you have no imagination? It’s literally that simple.
We can’t rely on draft picks? Like the treasure trove of them coming up over the next 3 years?
You understand this isn’t about just the one point in time you looking at right?
Last year no one saw Knicks signing a player like Brunson and how he would play out. Or IQ being a 6MOY candidate. Or the Josh Hart impact. Or the Knicks having one of the best records in the NBA over the course of the last half of the season when their season schedule was one of the most difficult. Or the Knicks winning a round of playoffs. All while having one of the youngest rotations in the league.
Holy myopic. And myopic is my safe word here
