Knicks · Nathan Knight, come on down for a 2-way contract with the Knicks (page 2)

Seems like 3 decent 2-way prospects. Knight fills a need to have on the roster too.

Plays bully ball like a mini Randle after a bad call. Randle will be a good mentor for him, as far as his game improvements.

Apparently page 2 of thread is the serious stuff, I'm headed back to page 1

More then likely, Knight will never play for Thibs. Would be shocked the team doesn't use it's trade exception, and/or a few sond rounders, or Fornier and pics for a new PF. So let's just chill. Just imagine the fun we could have had we drafted Grady Dick.

Yes - there are actual/tangible skills shown here and against some actual NBA competition.
Not sure how well he can move his feet defensively but some rim protection that Obi wouldn’t provide and diverse skill set with some perimeter, shot-fakes, handles, back to basket and both hands around the rim + some explosive dunks.

It's a two way so it's likely just a training camp invite or a lot of time at Westchester at best. Doubt Knight gets any real PT anyway.

I watched a bunch of highlights and some Pro-Am stuff in Minnesota. He's skilled, but appears to be a bit slow footed for guarding fours on the perimeter. Also, not the most graceful runner.

From what I e seen so far, not out the question that he takes Roby's spot.

I don't think Roby has a spot LOL. He's really like the 4th or 5th option at back up PF behind sliding RJ, Hart, Hartenstein & Sims imo.

How does this work family, he is on a two way ? Roby on a NBA unguaranteed deal, so if Roby is waived then Knight gets his spot ?

Depends if they like Knight enough to give him a regular roster spot.
I still have a gut feeling that final spot is going to Taj. Thibs trusts him, he's been here and he can easily handle Obi's 15 mpg off the bench if needed.

Informative podcast on Knight. Kid went through a lot to get to this point. I'm rooting for him.
