Welcome to Obi's rookie season. He never got a chance with us.

Bring up Jacob Toooin, it will ease the pain.

Still no acknowledgment of rebound numbers, eh? There wouldn’t be an agenda here now would there?

If anything I wish Obi well. But as far as I can tell the reason some posters are big fans of his is that he's "Not Randle."

When has it been an agenda to follow a player you believed in even after they leave your favorite team? Just like in the beginning of the season I said I was surprised he was not doing better. I am now seeing what I thought he could do on the Pacers. Some here including myself at the start of the season did not consider that this is the first time Obi has actually had a real chance to grow and learn. So things took longer than expected.

For someone who you think has an agenda with Obi I clearly stated he was playing like trash at the start of the season and that I might have to eat crow if it continued. Not something a person with a an agenda would do.

Obi is not on the team and I still want Randle gone. Randle's lazy play, poor defense, poor shooting percentages and turnovers are more of the reason why I want him gone than Obi ever was. I stopped pointing it out but like I said many times. After a few good games against bad competition people forget all the negatives Randle brings. Like clockwork games against Det, Charlotte and the Raps did just that. When he starts having those good games against Elite competition is when I will start to believe. We have the Bucks coming up next. Show me that All NBA game against them. The Bucks are not even a great defensive team but its a game we need to win so I will give him a lot of credit with a good game against them.

Speaking of agendas. Why everytime I post stats about Obi you have to say something contrarian about him. It is seeming like the one with the agenda here is you. I am just posting stats that pop up on my social media timeline from the stat guys on twitter. Like when I posted the good stats from Randle's good games even though I am not a fan.

Maybe your agenda is because Obi is not playing like a second round pick like you said on this page.

Don't let them get to you Clean. Obi already showed us what he can do, so him killing in Indy is no surprise. Randle and Thibs was blocking Obi. Thibs came around late and played them together, but they just a bad match together. Indy is a better fit. Never doubted his offensive skill set, but 4 blocks? Lockdown on Butler?

First bolded - thank you for making my point.

Second bolded - "Every time"? I have noted his rebound numbers are abysmal especially for a power forward. They are. Not saying he hasn't had a couple of good offensive games. He had a few for us as well.

And yeah I have a couple of agendas, in this case I find it very curious that some - not just you - have this thing for Obi. And I think you spelled it out clearly. Your prerogative. I have nothing against Obi and am fine with him playing well. But he is nowhere near the player Randle is and no amount of cherry picking changes that.

I also find it curious that some post more when we lose, in the wake of mistakes, or on a specific player that they don't like. And not so much after a win or when things are going well. Again everyone has that right. But seems to me for some it's fine to trash the FO (getting harder to do), want to fire Thibs (getting much harder to do), start dump Randle (even RJ) threads and so forth - but a poster (me) points out the ludicrousness and well that’s not cool. I can live with that. By all means you and everyone continue to state your opinions and I will do the same.

amazes me that people still want to bash Thibs.

He's the best thing to happen to this team in decades. You can make the case that we don't even get Brunson without the Thibs and Rick connection.

The fact that he took so much heat for not playing a scrub like CAM, or not giving Obi starter minutes while completely ignoring the roster full of youth he developed is just absurd. Obi's role long term in this league is probably exactly what Thibs had him as, an off the bench energy big.

Heat won the game vs Pacers142-132. Jimmy Butler team won.
Jimmy have an off day? Injury? Jimmy does not have great games every game.
Obi won't have shitty games every game. Obi is one piece of an improved Pacer team.

As For "Randle Hate", the question is who and how is he replaced? You can want a player removed, but is the team better long and short term?
Now he is playing better due to a summer off as we all know why, the team is doing better.
True tests come vs. better comp and we got a tough month of games.
Randle did not burn a draft pick.
Randle did not come via a trade.
He was a free agent. Cost us nothing.
He is the 48th highest paid player. Some are better that get paid less, and there are those who get paid more and are not.
Some of you may want him gone, but that solves little as one assumes only his replacement will flourish and a simple "Plug and play" situation will yield a better result. Maybe, maybe not.

Yes. Indeed.

I’ve been meaning to ask you, sir - how did you survive on PSD for so long with your rational views?

😁

Pretty much over resentment towards Douchezingis - excuse me, KP - there's no arguing his talent nor his brittleness. Question is can the Celts time it right so he can perform when needed.
