They'd score 150 against the Knicks defense.

This is why I will always value offensive stats gathered back in the day higher than any gathered now. The rules heavily favor offenses. So much so that it lessens the impact of these big numbers. Giannis got like 30 fts recently. 1 damn player!

not sure why they started him but it is interesting he goes from always being a good plus minus when playing off the bench to now really negative when starting.

OG last 2 games, 12 points in 55 minutes on 5 for 18 shooting.

He's not who people think he is.

Former dunk champ Bing Bong love the smile vs Randle "STFU" scowl Obi?
Or this inconsistent 2 way player who been exiled as he did not fulfill his role here or pressure Randle?
"People"? Do tell!!!!

One of the most overrated players in the league.

KnickDanger @ 12/19/2023 11:37 AM
Obi and OG’s big positives - they aren’t Randle or RJ.

He is known for his defense. Who do you think he is cause he is definitely no known for his stellar shooting?

Because there are many holes in his game. It's not called development for nothing. During his tenure here he did not improve a single facet of his game. Therefore with more playing time and opportunity he has been exposed by the league.

i've seen alot of people suggest he can take his game to another level on offense.

he's a damn good defender and a solid shooter but he's not a star or an offensive option

Fair, but I don't think there is much behind the call for his offensive game to get to another level, I have not seen that.

It's weird to me regarding the use of the word Star. Is Beal a star? He gets paid like a star and got traded like one. Can do it on one end of the court. Lots of guys like that.

Is OG's defensive versatility enough to consider him a star at one end of the court?

He is the quintisential POA defender. That's it mostly. And those guys in the playoffs are true game changers from that perspective.

Witness Mitch in the Cleveland series and this year. He can just warp a game or a team's game plan. Not a "star" but still ultra valuable at the right price IMHO

Or, KP in his situation, to find someone you can relate to. Find the right mix of guys around him and within the right role, and he is a game changer.

Can OG be a game changer for the Knicks? Low usage and takes away the opponents best player as much as you can. With Grimes, you can do 2 players, small and big.

I agree.

and i'd be for OG, but people gotta realize what they're getting. he's probably a 12-14ppg scorer here.

RJ to Canada makes a ton of sense as well. Not sure that would ever happen though.

I think RJ straight up for OG is a fair trade but Masaii probably doesn't.

Assuming the above is faked - game was in N.O. (Not Memphis) debut game was last night.

Absolutely a photoshop. Funny though!

I would have booed him for sure. After the game he spoke of "keeping the receipts" - guessing that implies some sort of revenge even if only mental. No humility - I would be delighted to watch him fail. And always glad we have RJ and not this punk. Hell of a talent though.

He keeping Receipts? League is keeping an eye on him.
Maybe his accountant keeping a log of how much money it cost Jah to be suspended?
