No surprise I suppose, but Knicks didn't have a single all-NBA defensive team member. With Mitch and OG missing too many games, that probably killed any chance. That said Hartenstein and Hart I think had a case to make. iHart with the Achilles injury/minutes restriction probably stopped him from having the counting stats - but just FYI in January when he was staring and playing 31.8 mpg he was averaging 12 rebs, 1.5 blocks, 1.7 steals!

To be fair: I think iHart also missed out on list cause of the 65 games limit. Same with DDV and MIP or something.

These numbers are legit insane

I think some of you missed it was the "All NON-Defensive" team.
It was a joke. There is no official award thing for it.
There is "all defensive".
Clean @ 5/22/2024 2:12 PM

I thought some of them would be fake because of how blatent they were. I was wrong they actually happened.

The Wiz thought they were getting Kyle, but ended up with his twin Karl.

Disappointing yet HIGHLY entertaining if you actually focus on the reactions of the defenders on the ones that actually stop the action of the game. Hil-ar-IOUS!

Wow, the Cleveland coach was fired. Despite 51 and 48 win seasons… and their starting center out and making it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. And being without their starting center and losing Donovan Mitchell late. And dealing with a hobbled Garland all season.

I think they’re probably annoyed that Mobley (and to a lesser extent Okoro) haven’t developed into stars - not gonna happen if your starting backcourt averages around 50ppg - not enough ball to go around!

VDesai @ 5/23/2024 1:27 PM
Yeah that is tough on Bickerstaff. He has done a pretty good job managing a lot of injuries there. That said, I think that team can't shake the image that they are pretty soft and that is probably why he is gone.
Nalod @ 5/23/2024 1:27 PM
Read today and recently he was on the hot seat earlier in the season and a mid season surge saved him.
Has to be perhaps that Donovan would stay if he was replaced?
Perhaps Mobley is frustrated with his coach? The team has improved each year but internally one never knows.
I have not read anything about this but its known Johnny Bryant and Donovan are tight. If he gets the gig that has to bode well to him resigning?

I know party line is to love Thibs, but I really love Johnnie Bryant's energy. I don't want to lose Johnnie. Pay the man his money.

Here is some good Johnnie Bryant energy!

Legit think he'll be the next coach whenever Thibs decides to retire and move somewhere warm and pretend to be a great white beached whale.

OK scratch that, I think Johnnie may need to take some proactive steps here, I just don't see Thibs on a beach ever. So just like beating McConnell in a fight, Johnnie may need to "figure things out".

EwingsGlass @ 5/23/2024 4:29 PM
Johnnie is amazing. Can't wait to see him in charge. Not rushing Thibs out, but just want to make sure we keep Johnnie Bryant here.
