THis was recently discussed. He took 30 3pt shots with Clippers in one season Fans and blogs only looked at his high shooting 46% and gave that label.
He makes $8mm per as a very good back up.
what is his value going forward and do we go that route with him? Good passing big as well. He avged 14 min a game with Clippers, last year he avg'd 19 as back up to a healthy mitch.

I don't want I-Hart outside chucking mediocre 3's - he has elite rebounding % #s and is always in the right spot defensively - + nice passing - --- I say just let him play role he did 2nd half of last season. Keep the 3's in his pocket - get on the boards.
Obviously we all want to know if DEUCE makes the regular season roster this season? Or back to the G league with Jacob Toppin? Mmmmmm. Might be an interesting roster! Chemistry on both teams.

I don’t see the point in having Sims as the 3rd center. But if Thibs plays him at PF, then Sims gets the 10th spot in Thibs 9 man rotation. If Hart can play PF effectively, then maybe EF makes since for more shooting which is a need. Deuce back to G league unfortunately, until a blockbuster trade occurs.

Looking at that 9 man rotation, there’s only 3 bigs and 6 guards. One obvious question is how will these knicks hold up against a bigger team? We should know by the first month.

right but we have a lot of guys who like to drive to the rim, JR, JB, RJ etc. having a stretch 5 could be helpful in some situations
Do RJ or Grimes have another level to their games?
Is Randle going to blend into the offense or try to force his hand into iso?
Will the small ball bench be a dangerous unit?

Defensively, I don't think too much changes. I like Obi so I'll be nice here and say defense wasn't really a strength to begin with. We do lose a lot offensively. Outside of little funk last season, Obi has been a pretty reliable finisher who can finish over the top. That's a dimension the bench is missing and the three ball will be really important.
Seems to me it is a 9 man rotation and the next man up will depend on need because of injuries or play. We all love Deuce but ya gotta make shots. EF makes the shots but has he really left Thibs' doghouse? Doubt it. Roby is the unknown but I'm getting a "we hardly knew ye" vibe. Leaving Sims - are Thibs' kind words for real or just smoke? Based on the structure of the team it would seem a big man is next in line. Guessing Thibs to be more inclined towards Sims than Roby, if Roby is even here.
This is barring any moves which for the time being seems unlikely.

To be honest, we talking about the 10th man, who will get minimum to no minutes. So it really doesn't matter, since Sims or whoever else, outside of Josh Hart, will be 3rd string backup PF. Hart brings too much to the team to complain about his height or defending taller players. Keep in mind they also have to defend him.

And until there's a trade or injuries, I find it hard to believe Sims, Deuce or EF will have more playing time than any of these 9 guys.

If you say so. Hope your right. Chains are only as strong as their weak st links. All it takes is a stint of a back up for 6 minutes for another team to go on a big run that you can't climb out of. So I can see your POV but I can see a weak bench player contributing to another team taking a big run in a game and we could lose a few games that way. Just saying.
