I used to think 50 wins but after watching a little of preseason I’ll go with 45.This undersize at PF has me worried.
ramtour420 @ 10/19/2023 4:26 AM
I think it's going to be 49 wins and Conference finals.

We are there. This is our trajectory. We have the team from last year +1 more year of experience with each other. Also, the team is so young, I would not put it past them to develop a wrinkle or two at this point. That RJ to Mitch pass is going to be there all day. I want to see moar of it.

Continuity rules

What undersize at PF when we have Simms who can play 20 mins and take one 5 foot shot, 😆 Don't worry I been told about worrying about the roster construction. Anyway my bro, I say the Knicks win 46.

ToddTT @ 10/19/2023 7:10 AM
Current roster? Same results as last year. 47.

As always, we can beat anybody, and lose to anybody.

Both cheeks out on this one: 55!
Nalod @ 10/19/2023 8:55 AM
I'll go 50 wins and hope Im under.

Horrific start, Thibs fired, panic trade for a star, play-in, goes home early in the playoffs.

Sorry Martin.

But seriously, 45 wins and 4th or 5th seed as long as Brunson and Randle are healthy and could make the 2nd Round again unless we play Miami again in the first round. No trade for a star but Brunson makes another jump.

after the last two games, I'm depressed. But the year we took a step back, we did amazing in pre season with Randle looking dominant and then we completely collapsed after the season got under way.

I think 48 wins and I worry. The NBA is hard. We got some great play last year after getting Hart, but if we are exceeding last year, we're going to need RJ to become reliable from behind the 3pt line, and he still doesn't look like he will.

Moonangie @ 10/19/2023 11:41 AM
I'll go with a single win bump from last year (48) and round 2 to decisive game 7...a modest chance @ ECF. But that will be the dead end for this bunch.

Not reading into pre-season too much.

nycericanguy @ 10/19/2023 11:42 AM
a boring and safe 47 wins

It's just weird to me that you got 5 tattooed on each butt cheek, especially at your generation, but to each their own

42 wins. I think the continuity is overblown with this bunch. Team still looks selfish, stagnant and predictable on Offense. We still don't guard out to the 3pt line and a few passes and we are missing rotations. Still, we have enough talent to get 42 wins and a 1st rd playoff loss.
EwingsGlass @ 10/19/2023 12:20 PM
High 46
Low 32

Leaning towards the low. I think Brunson caught folks off guard last season. Teams came in with a plan to beat Randle and Brunson beat them. I think every team will come in with a plan to beat Brunson and will force Randle and Barrett to beat them. There is value in continuity, but we caught a lot of teams unprepared or injured last season. Good wins, but can't rely on toughness over talent. I don't think our 3pt shooting is real. I think every team will have a ton of tape on how to beat the Knicks.

1) Cleveland got exposed by Mitch Robinson. But those bigs will be a year older and a year stronger. Not saying that Mitch doesn't beast on them again, but I think they will come prepared to body him up.

2) Miami should be worse, but we took 3 out of 4 in the regular season and a healthy Butler/Adebayo is a handful for us. Expect to win less.

3) We gave the Celts fits during the regular season. I think they are improved. In fact, they may be approaching my "perfect team". Still have to play the games, but they are my choice for NBA champs

4) The Wemby Tank is no longer a thing. More teams will be competitive longer.

5) Nets broke down with drama. Don't expect them to be as dysfunctional this season.

6) Philly seems more busted, but honestly, they were good without Harden.

7) Bucks look like like 1a and 1b with Boston. I'm giving Boston the edge, but its tight. Its only cause I don't think Lill can defend.

8) Toronto is changing coaches. Don't know which way they go, but they are a bad matchup for us every year.

I know pundits are backing the Knicks cause of continuity and their playoff push last year, but I think that just makes teams take the Knicks games more serious. I worry this team will not evolve further.

But I hope I am wrong.

One less than last year...If we stay the course. But we are only a solid trade away from making real noise.

Team should make solid trades but front office seems inclined to hold assets for a potential star trade.
