IQ is scoring more this year despite playing 5mpg less. he is scoring from all over the court and has so many tricks in his bag, fun to watch. he's going to get himself a 25-30m payday at this rate because he defends too.
Grimes disappears too often, seems like he needs to play 30mpg to really be able to find a few spots to score. the defense is great but sometimes we need some offense as well from the SG spot.
one of DDV, Grimes or IQ probably has to go long term, just not enough minutes.
Hart I think is safe as he plays backup PF and just brings something different with his rebounding, ability to push the fastbreak and defense.
and RJ is cementing himself as a star so far.
This type of game used to be a trap game, now it's a blow out

I wish I could say it was fun to watch, but it was a complete blow-out end to end. Wemby got manhandled and seemed rattled. Fun to win these, but not that enjoyable a game.
Loved the ball movement, defense and (finally) excellent shooting. If we could reliably get this type of performance in most games, I'd up my win projection to 50+.
Usually dislike games on ESPN but hearing Hubie was a treat! Bless the man and keep him healthy!
Obviously Wemby will be great one day but he struggled in this game. Rob and Hartenstein just bullied the kid. Kind of reminded me of Jordan getting beat up by the Bad Boys back in the day for some reason. But Wemby will get stronger and own the league. Too talented and hardworking and SA is such a great organization for him not to succeed. But the expectations are almost unfair. He needs to duplicate or eclipse Duncan and that's going to be tough.
But good win! Finally we had a good game from three hitting 19/42! It's not the norm but a good sign they are starting to fall. I think the drive and kick game is starting to click on offense. Another great game by RJ. Kid is a character foundation! Hardworking, improves every season, no drama, just a fun kid to root for! Good to see Randle have a good game too! I was a little worried he was going to play wild and try to upstage Wemby but he played within the team and took good shots and played with a nice rhythm and hit some big shots late in the 4th when the Spurs were starting to come back. Nice game by Brunson too! Hit 3 straight threes and that one over Wemby was nice! IQ dominated when he was out there and good start by Grimes hitting those 2 threes to start the game.
4-4 is right where I thought we'd be after 8 games. I think the early season jitters and preseason mode are over and this team has found a nice flow.
starting to appreciate Mitch more and more. He's averaging 6.3 ORPG... Rodman's career high was 6.4.
Except... Rodman played over 40mpg that season! and Mitch is under 30mpg. Pretty incredible when you think of it.

We are not used to this. I didn't make it past the first half and then I needed a nap cause I'm old
despite the brutal schedule early on, we have the 5th best NET rating in the east, allowing the fewest PPG, and have outrebounded the opponent EVERY game this season.
now we get a few days off and the schedule is easing a bit.

Mitch's transformation has been astounding to me. I'm still flabbergasted.

And the Knicks fubar'ed 3 games shooting. Could have been opponent D, could have been just bad play but dang

I have to think that I-Hart has had a positive influence on Mitch —- hard to argue that Mitch has played best ball of his career since Hart arrived.
Maybe most of that is natural maturation but maybe Mitch has learned some good things fro Hart from a developmental perspective and they seem to be good friends off the court.

When I saw ESPN I immediately hit the MUTE button and I would do that even with Breen but when I noticed Hubie I turned up volume and enjoyed his commentary. Was thankful I didn’t have to hear Breen/Doris/Doc licking Wemby’s feet all night and Breen seemed less about blowing Wemby smoke but allowing Hubie to shine.

LOL, me too. I dropped out by end of Q3.
You are all weird! I love blowout wins! So relaxing and fun!

Agree. I turn it off to regain my serenity when we blow a lead.
What a great win!
Hobie is getting old. There were a couple of mixups he had a long the way. I just think we get spoiled with Clyde and Mike, no other crew can come close to those too. Not having Doris on a broadcast is a big win regardless.
I don't think the schedule eases up at all. The next stretch is 5 games over 7 days. Knicks are firing on all cylinders so hopefully they can keep the momentum going.
What a difference Randle makes! He's got his mojo back and has been taking good shots the past two games. His All Star years both involved him converting a bunch of difficult shots, if he's able to get consistent looks driving towards the basket, he could be in line for another career year.
Can't say enough about RJ putting it together on offense. He's becoming the player we need. Brunson also got a bunch of clean looks from 3.
8 games in and I don't even remember what the fuss was about trading Obi. Knicks look like they have built a winning team for the long haul.
Still gotta stick with Thibs mantra of one game at a time.
