Damn!
nycericanguy @ 12/11/2023 12:45 PM
Sucks for Mitch he was having a DPOY type year, but I think Sims will step up and fill in.

It's ironic b/c so many were against KP b/c he's injury prone but Mitch misses just as much time as KP.

This is part of an 82 game season, Hart & Sims is still more than enough at C, maybe we sign Taj too now as insurance?

But this could be Hart's chance to really show what he can do.

Nalod @ 12/11/2023 12:58 PM
Crap.......8 weeks plus getting back in shape and timing.
Knicks were prepared having a solid back up like iHart. Mitch was really having a good season.
Unfortunate but its happens! Next man up, and time for Sims to shine!!!
DLeethal @ 12/11/2023 1:20 PM
Next man up but we get really small really fast if one more injury takes place in the front court.
JesseDark @ 12/11/2023 1:25 PM
Get well soon Mitch we’re going to miss you.
That being said, I would bring in a big man that could shoot the three.

not many teams could sustain two front court injuries, but I do think Taj will be on his way here soon. he can still play.

Man this blows

But at least we have Simms on the roster. I wouldnt be surprised if he started over iHart because he likes what he's doing off the bench with the second unit. It would also showcase Simms. In case we need more talent to complete a big trade.

And here we go AGAIN —- feel bad for Mitch who is a good kid.

Going to go out on a limb and say Knicks hang in there and maintain top 5-6 ish standing by time Mitch is healthy BUT I’m usually wrong on most predictions.

Panos @ 12/11/2023 2:08 PM
Sucks.
Can they surgically repair his mid range shot while they're at it?
martin @ 12/11/2023 2:09 PM
Mitch is taking a mid-season 8-10 week break to work on the FT's?
Knixkik @ 12/11/2023 2:10 PM
Tough break. I trust Hartenstein as a fill in starter. I’m not sure about Sims. This may be a good opportunity to trade a future 2nd round pick for a backup 4/5 they like.
martin @ 12/11/2023 2:12 PM
Someone wake up Taj!

Yeah bad for Mitch etc. but curious to see how Ihart responds and especially Jericho.
NYKBocker @ 12/11/2023 3:29 PM
Damn. My favorite player right now with the Knicks
EwingsGlass @ 12/11/2023 4:46 PM
Man, this hurts. I love Mitch. He was really anchoring this starting D. I hope he recovers quickly. I think we will see how valuable he is, though. I mean, I hope Hart and Sims can pick up the slack, but man, MitchBeast is a force and will be missed while he recovers.
ToddTT @ 12/11/2023 4:57 PM
We're fucked.

Looking forward to better ball movement with iHart out there though.

Hope Mitch recovers fully.

TheMTL @ 12/11/2023 7:09 PM
Mitchell Robinson is actually the main reason our season has been successful. Knicks get ALOT of second and third chance opportunities because of his relentless offensive rebounding. Hart is capable replacement but it will still ating
Nalod @ 12/12/2023 8:41 AM
Raptors took advantage of Sims and made him look silly at times on the parameter. Otherwise he looked ok.
Lets hope he finds a rhythm.
