this is a 45-50 win team right now.

for us to go from very good to elite we need more talent period.

With Mitch playing his best ball this might be a 50 win team, but now it seems we don't have anything we do great anymore. Just "good" at a lot of things.

Def not OKC though, they really good

Knicks gonna try to do everything they can to move RJ for OG, it just makes sense.

Grimes, IQ gonna flourish after that.

Don't see it. OG might make the guard crunch even worse become I could see Thibs playing him more minutes. One of the guards, excluding JB, has to go in order to untie the minutes knot.

agreed, a 1 for 1 trade isn't going to help in that dept. and yes OG would probably play more than the 29mpg that RJ is currently playing.

Right, he could play the backup PF minutes.

And the Knicks could legit play small ball with OG, Randle, Hart, IQ, Brunson.

Josh Hart is already near a career low in MPG's, so now we're gonna cut his minutes further?

Hart is a really good player, he's become underrated on here.

The Knicks outscore opponents by 26.5 points per 100 possessions this season when Brunson, Quickley, Hart and Randle share the floor,

that's great, but without context doesn't mean much. that very likely wouldn't happen if you started those 4 and played them all starter minutes against other starters.

there's no magical lineup that is going to make us an elite team.

Certain lineups playing well together is a credit to coach for putting those guys in a position to succeed, not an indictment against coach for not playing the lineup more.

That's nothing but context.
Statistically, those four make up our best lineup.
Nothing said about starters or not.

Despite beating Lakers and Suns who are both amidst a free fall and finally beating MIL on a home B2B I don't think this is a sustainable way for this team to win or reach it's relative peak.

How quick we forget how bad we looked when RJ was hurt. That third scorer is very important to this team. OG only makes sense with some other moves to go with it IMO.

Problem solved! Traded both RJ and IQ
