SG. Murray or Mitchell.
BigDaddyG @ 12/30/2023 6:16 PM
I've heard Brogdan mentioned as a possibility,.. rolling the injury dice.

We need a starting SG. Wouldn’t be surprised if we made a smaller move on a b/u center
DLeethal @ 12/30/2023 7:04 PM
Starting 2 is the spot that is wide open for a star. I think we could also look to get a bench scorer to replace Quick. But if you get the scorer at the 2, you can stagger lineups enough where you don't need a big scoring weapon off the bench.

One person who has been linked to us a bunch and might make sense now as a cheaper stopgap is Derozan.

Based on Thibs comments I think Precious was coveted for that role.

I think it will be SG and then in another season when we realize we can't win running offense through Randle as much we will finally upgrade his position and win a chip!
Garrett2010PSD @ 12/30/2023 9:27 PM
Murray or Mitchell. Prefer Mitchell.

Get me a center that can shoot and defend. I think DDV can handle the SG.

Dang. Also - quick first step, explosive athlete. We gonna like this guy.

Looks like he’s more of a fast break energy guy. Not the guy you want firing away from 3

What’s wild is that Fournier still on roster and you KNOW the Knicks gonna use his contract somehow in a trade.

Another OG level trade is coming IMHO

I think there is good chance this’ll happen

Grimes, Fournier, picks for Murray.

After a few years of collecting assets and draft picks this front office finally showed their hand and made a move. Giving away RJ and IQ hurts alot but i do understand why the FO did it. They filled a position alot of NBA teams covet, a versatile wing that can defend.

I think the picture is almost complete. The starting 5 for the next 5-8 years is almost complete. I do think the only missing player is the starting SG.in terms of assets, tje team can still send out 8 1st round picks as will as fournier's contract. Im hoping the FO can pull the trigger in acquiring Murray from the Hawks as a 2nd to the last step for contending. Im hoping 3 1st round picks can do the job. Leaving the knicks 5 more picks for when a true superstar becomes available. With all the young players exiting via trades, i hope the FO can shore up the bench by selecting a player in next year's draft and finally signing Rokas.

If Murray can go back to his spurs form then he might be enough to help the knicks reach the eastern conference finals. He might have a better fit with the knicks than with the hawks. Jalen was able to ball out with Luka in an offball role. Murray can be the point while jalen can switch to SG similar to his role with the mavs!

Next year the knicks will have a starting line up of

Mitch, Randle, OG, Shooting Guard and jalen

This is still a young core and can be an appealing group of players for a superstar to help bring a championship to new york. I know NBA players are noticing what this front office is doing. Hopefully sooner rather than later a true superstar will request a trade for a chance to bring glory to the knicks! My dream shooting guards could be Booker or Luka. Both are long shots but somehow both players have ties with the knicks.

Yea and Thibs said he's a really good offensive rebounder, something he has really built our offense around the last couple years via Mitch.
