Oh yeah? Is she single?

Only when she wants to make me jealous.

Is that before or after she puts out the cigarettes?

Full strength and back to the kind of win we expect to see.
KnickDanger @ 1/17/2024 10:35 PM
7 - 2 in the OG era.

Strangely, it feels underwhelming to me LOL

I almost forgot what winning felt like. Can handle too many of these mini losing streaks. Get to work Leon.

A gentleman never tells. She is Greek and Puerto Rican so her impetuous and passionate nature means I have no idea of when and how she will act. I just sit around and wait for her to tell me when I've been a bad boy and just deal with her wrath however it is dispensed. However, whenever, and no safe words allowed or ash trays.

Haven't been able to watch full games recently but this kind of ball and player movement is what you hope for.

Kinda sucks but I don't think Mitch fits this style of play right now. He just doesn't have the wherewithal offensively to know how to move without ball and not sure he can grow into it either.

Love this kind of stuff

Quality of opponents. Offensive droughts.

I’m not in despair at all, but hoping to see more convincing wins moving forward, and against quality opponents.

Chandler @ 1/18/2024 8:10 AM
Have to be wondering if Mitch would be part of a trade package at this point. He, Grimes and Evan’s contract…

I love Mitch a lot but iHart has to have stolen starting job — offense is totally different in ball movement and the opponent can’t ignore him

We smacked the best team in the west and beat Philly by 100 during that stretch, also a Chicago team that was red hot at the time I think going 10-5 leading to our game against them.

We have been exceptionally good during the OG era when Brunson plays. We have looked really bad without him which has watered down the post-trade vibes and made it abundantly clear we need some help/insurance when Brunson is off the court.

I think the same way about Mitch. I suppose you use him in the right trade. But he's still a very good player in his own right, and where we might lose some elements ball movement with the starters, he can still dominate a game on the offensive boards, him and OG might form the scariest defensive duo in the league, and if we add a 3rd scorer to the starters, that unit might revert back to a "take turns" heavy approach like they did with RJ (they did it successfully) and the ball movement would be more of a bench thing.

DLeethal @ 1/18/2024 8:34 AM
DDV and his ability to play connector (also iHart) are the two biggest reasons for the ball movement with the starters while adding a corner 3 guy who doesn't hold the ball like OG. If you lose DDV and get a pounder in there like Murray, much of that ball movement is going to go with it. Brunson/Randle/Murray as your 3 top ball handlers is not going to lead to a ton of free flowing ball movement. They will be more dangerous though.
VDesai @ 1/18/2024 8:42 AM
The only issue is we needed 40mpg + from guys like Hartenstein and Anunoby against a Rockets team that is awful on the road and in a slide. The formula now is defense and then get 30 pts each from Randle and Brunson. We look good at full strength, but lack of depth is hanging over us. The question is do we have enough time to see if Achiuwa can be a real backup 5 and Grimes can play the role of bench scorer? I do wonder what is going on with Sims. Sims is obviously limited, but showed enough as a big body in a 15 min or so role over the last 2 years that you'd think he'd be preferred to what we have seen from Achiuwa. Hartenstein has proven to be durable, but that's a lot of minutes he is logging.

Yessir

I'd put DDV, iHart, Hart, OG all into your connector role. All 2-way guys who would rather set up the next guy.

Love that

martin @ 1/18/2024 8:43 AM
It's weird that Sims gets no love from Thibs these days?

So good to have the Burner back! Showed no signs of rust or limitation with that calf! Good to see Randle bounce back after a couple of bad games. That Magic Johnson-esque pass to OG for the dunk was sick! OG had some awesome defensive plays too. That one post defense and block on Sengun stands out. Big Hart finally got dunked on. Twice! It happens. Still love him! Little Hart with 14 rebounds! Grimes with 5 FT attempts!

24-17 at the midway point. Right where I expected. I still think we can win between 45-50 games. Maybe a little more with the right trade. Hicks got better with Siakim so Leon needs to respond soon. We desperately need a 3rd scorer. We're having too many 5 minute slumps where we just cannot score. That bench lineup without Burner and Randle needs help!

Most NBA games are relatively close. We beat them pretty handily last night for NBA standards. Thibs was just being Thibs and overdoing it a little bit on a night we needed to secure a W.

Our bench is trash though, we all know some moves need to be made. Even if we don't make the big move we need to get some reinforcements in here.

Also, my guess is that Thibs likes Precious's switchability. You see him guarding guys at the top of the key a lot. Clearly they are comfortable with him doing that because our other bigs just play drop coverage.
