One of my favorite players but less of a fit today after OG trade.

He’s just 1 assist and 3 turnovers away from a quadruple double!

That was my exact thought - hahaha

Poelti is out for Toronto

Poetel is a tough match up for the Knicks. They're lucky he's out

He is the first rounder we gave up in the Bargnani trade.

Dick was nearly huge for them, then kinda petered out.

I thought he played hard.

He has potential Dick has great size and the ability to take it to the hole

That Dick is hard to cover

Dick needs to get swole if he wants to take the hole and bang. But he does spray it pretty long for the money shot from three.

It’s hard to beat Dick coming off the bench

I could see the Raps ramming a QuickDick backcourt down opponents throats in crunch time.

Well now, that’s just flagrantly foul.

You must have feeling pretty cocky when you made that joke.

Not bad! Especially since you were up against some stiff competition.

Wait… I thought he didn’t like interviews. Did he really give it to her? I guess we all got a little Dick tonight.

Agree it was a fun game. Everybody involved in the trade played well. Except for RJ's choke job at the end. He's in the best situation he can be, playing back home for his childhood team. IQ gets that starting role he wanted. We get a statistical monster.

OG has been a big positive. The ball moves so much better without RJ. Too many chefs. OG lets the game come to him.

Sucks about Hartenstein. From what Ive seen from Sims, his biggest issue is how easily he gets pushed out of the blocks. For all the time Randle spends in the gym, he's also spent time working on his property, farmer stuff. The kind of excercise that makes you strong in ways that just working out in the gym cant. If Sims can keep himself better planted in the post. not so easily pushed around, the rest of his game should follow.

Bears repeating that we have one of the lowest scoring benches in the league and still winning games. If you still believe we need to upgrade from Devo, you're barking up the wrong tree IMO.

We add some instant offense off the bench a backup PF. Elite teams will be happy not to draw us in the first round.

Great game for us.
Good to see RJ and IQ play well and happy.
IQ probably wanted to stay in NY but wanted that starting role.
For those that thought JB was not a superstar(me) you were wrong!
For those that thought IHart was just an adequate backup(me) you were wrong!
For those that thought Randle could never pass if surrounded by better players (everyone) you were wrong!
For those that did not feel Devo was the guy to upgrade the SG position (everyone) you were wrong!
For those that thought Todd will be posting pics of cheerleaders he dreamed about last night, in response to this post,(everyone) you will be right.

Great game. Ball moved nicely. Defense was good. JB and Randle their All Star selfs. Precious even had a nice game. TOs could have been less but hey, one can't have everything in life.
Imo, we just need one more guy to create on the second unit. So far Thibs has done a good job keeping either Randle or JB in with them but that may over work those two by year end.
It also may not have to be a big scorer. Just a guy that can create and make something happen. Deuce and Grimes are shooting better at times. JHart and Precious provide defense. We just do not have anyone that breaks down the defense on that unit.

Maybe put ‘interview’ in quotes to imply subtle innuendo

The level of ambiguity is just nutty.

I think we are seeing a little bit of "grass isn't always greener" in a way with our offense. It's much more fun to watch, beautiful ball movement and player movement at times, we are racking up assist numbers like we haven't seen in years. But we are turning the ball over a ton. There is always a tradeoff in style of play. We had really good ball control with our "old" lineup with all the iso and ball pounders. I prefer the way we play now no doubt, but ball movement brings elevated turnover risks. The way we shot yesterday and rebounded it was insane that TOR was nearly tied at the half.

Also, I think Precious showed a bit of what Thibs / FO sees in him. That was encouraging. His switch ability is very underrated here. He can actually finish well around the basket, decent ball handling skills for a C. He brings some interesting elements. Seemed to play much more free last night when he knew his leash was longer. I'm interested to see him get major mins if Hartenstein misses some games.

DLeethal @ 1/21/2024 10:23 AM
I'm ready to move on from Grimes. Let's get a legit veteran scorer to solidify the bench and make a run. The more I think about it, the more I think this team might be further along then we think. It seems there is a hierarchy of superstars in the NBA until new guys come and shatter the norm. It happened with Jokic a few years and and I think we are seeing it happen all over this year with SGA and Ant Man leading some of the best teams in the league. Who is to say Brunson is not one of the top guys in the league and a championship level #1 player? There is nothing at all to suggest he isn't with the way he produces every night, the numbers he puts up, his killer instinct and game closing ability. There is no holes in his game and he is unguardable. If Knicks can fill that one giant hole in their lineup and maybe get Mitch back by playoffs, why can't we be like the 2011 Mavs or the 2019 Raps? We have a legit killer #1 guy, a guy who can put up monster stats #2 guy, we have maybe the best defensive impact forward in the league and a top defense overall. Get that Jason Terry / FVV 6th man in here.
SergioNYK @ 1/21/2024 10:34 AM
So happy RJ and IQ got a standing ovation and a tribute video. Both of them deserve it. Randle is right in saying NY help raised them. Drafted as teenagers and they were a big part of rebuilding this team. Before they got here, this was a circus and one of the worst teams in the league and they both help changed that. I wish them nothing but the best.

I really like how we're owning the 3rd quarter. This was a 2 point game at halftime and we just owned that 3rd. Brunson was absolutely incredible again and Randle with a triple double. Both should be All-Stars! And we outrebounded them by 30! Kudos to Achiuwa for filling in for Big Hart.

I like where we are as a team and help should be on the way soon.
