Do you think when the FO looks at Clarkson they may see him as Fournier 2.0? Offensive he is a heck of a player but his defense is not that great. Im worried if the knicks trade for him he ends up riding the bench like Fournier. There is a glaring need for an offensive boost off the bench, surely Fournier can help in that department but Thibs knows he will also hurt the teams defense. Im not so sure about trading for clarkson, i see it as a big gamble

I don't think it's defense only. There's other elements to it. Fournier is just a softy, he won't get his hands dirty at all, on offense he's purely finesse. That's the type of stuff that pisses Thibs off I think. Randle sucks on D but is a favorite of Thibs because he's physical as hell, he's tough and aggressive, he's gonna impose his will on offense. If Clarkson is aggressive and plays with a level of toughness Thibs will be fine with him.

Obviously another player that didn't participate in that player only poll of Thibs or No Thibs. He is now lined up right behind Bruce Brown.

Clarkson is shooting under 30% from three.

Brogdan is the best move right now but I am leery of the cost.

Save the prime assets for the off-season big move.

Also, I'm not trading Grimea. Depth is critical right now.

Unless we can get some injured guys back (Randle, OG, now Brunson) we may have to adjust the thinking on our time frame from this year to next.

Injuries happen all the time- and you can’t predict what will happen next season. But any move now that doesn’t align with next year as well as this year might not make sense.

Back in January - I was thinking this is the year- go all in because we won’t get the kind of production out of Randle, JB et al again like we have.

This hits a little close. Sounds like what we have to offer.

Evan Sidery: The Hawks don’t appear to have an offer on the table including multiple first-round picks for Dejounte Murray, per @wojespn (podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the…). Atlanta’s best return package for Murray might only include a good young player or expiring contract alongside one first-round… pic.twitter.com/GUCFKcnT9u – via Twitter esidery

Yep.

Leon: "this is our adult offer, please let us know"

You have to remember that he has a 13M trade kicker. It's going to take more for Atlanta to make a trade now

Literally, it may be what's holding everything up. Atlanta waiting on Dejoute to lesson that demand. I'm guessing.

Hmmm, excellent deduction my good man. The game is afoot

Details like which pick. Ours or Dallas's probable lottery pick could also be a discussion

Sometimes they are just not good players.

Sometimes they are just young, inexperienced players.

Sometimes they are good players with a bad coach or a bad scheme.

Sometimes they are good players but just in the wrong role.

Sometimes they are good players but they overlap in skill set in an awkward, non OG type of way.
