Read that he likes playing for Clifford. Not to mention he has a life in Charlotte that he might not want to leave.
That is possible but he will not be in Char next season anyway. So I would personally doubt those things as the real reason.
Where have you seen that Charlotte is not interested in re-signing him?
They have been far apart on contract terms for a while now. It is why they are in the situation they are at right now. I remember hearing about it multple times. It is not that they don't want him. It is that they don't want him at the price he wants. Like us with Quick.
No one was going to sign him long term this season. They would have been bidding against themselves

How much do you really think has changed on that front? The teams that wanted him are teams who are capped out and have no other way to get talented players. They thought they could get him for cheap. Those teams will not be able to sign him next season.
Hayward to OKC for Tre Mann and Bertans. Nice move for OKC who had the space to absorb I believe
The dream of signing a bought out Hayward is dead
My Dream deadline is Burks and Brogdan. Slim to no chance it happens but I would love it.

Money doesn't work. There has to be more to this trade

Doesnt OKC just have the cap space to take on that deal?

Brogdan or Bogdan?
I think we're probably not after 2 guards but the package of Burks and Bogdan is plausible. The only issue though is how you fit 2 new guys in the rotation. If Grimes goes out you can see how another guard comes in. Someone like a Bogdan has an obvious slot while OG is out, but when OG is in its less obvious. Getting a bit concerned that the OG injury is more of a long term thing than we thought. It already has been longer in some ways.
Burks and Bogdanovic heating up it seems
We seem gung ho on keeping our first round picks ... losing Grimes kind of sucks but that trade no doubt makes us better IMO.

I think they carry salary for players they have waived putting them over the cap. Trade doesn't work on trade checker as is

Not in love with this proposal. Burks and Bogs can play, but they're about to hit the wall any second. Don't like the idea of including Grimes in that deal.
Burks for Grimes and 2 seconds

The one from Portland. I think he is a perfect fit for what we need. I am assuming Grimes would be gone if we were to get both of them.
shitty way for Grimes to go, but it does make us better IMO
Hopefully we can get Burks to re-sign. Sending out Grimes if Burks leaves in the offseason is really bad.
Wonder how we going to use Fournier's contract. Might trade him for Bruce Brown although that clogs things up a little bit.
We might have added Fournier and gotten Bojan Bogdonavic
