Corey Joseph was a competent backup once. Id give it a shot.

The way the Rooster has been growing the past few years, center might be his best position. Also, not a Grady Dick joke.

They say the Spurs will likely waive Marcus Morris.

So many former Knicks are becoming available. (there was a time when we went through new players like water)

Look, if you had, one shot, or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment -
Would you capture it?
Or just let it slip? Yo.

Can someone bump the Smith Jr. Vs Frank thread from a few years ago?

Frank would be good but our team is too good right now.
He may get on a team needing to improve their defense...... AND looking to worsen their offense.

I hope for once we have good players coming here to sign vet minimum deals because they want to chase a deep playoff run! Would love Spencer Dimwiddie - he is solid and would love to keep him out of Dallas! Robin Lopez- don’t know if he has anything in the tank, but he’s brother is still productive and healthy and Robin was one of our best FA signings until this recent stretch of genius from Rose et al.
Garrett2010PSD @ 2/9/2024 8:07 AM
Gallo, Lopez, Lowery, and Dimwiddie are all solid buyout candidates.

I would consider taking a flyer on Hayes also.

There are a ton of options here.

Knixkik @ 2/9/2024 8:34 AM
Knicks do need a PG for depth. Lowry would have come I bet if we didn’t make the trade but now he would be coming to a team unlikely to play him regular minutes. Maybe someone like Cory Joseph. We just need a competent PG in case of emergency.

There isn't room for anyone who wants a nightly role on a team. Only emergency players. Don't think anyone that is any good is gonna sign up for that.
KnickDanger @ 2/9/2024 10:05 AM
Don’t know what he has left in the tank, but I thought Robin Lopez was a fine Knick in his brief time here. If IHart is out a while….
DLeethal @ 2/9/2024 10:12 AM
Robin could probably do a decent iHart impression. We most likely just stick with Taj, Sims, Precious though.

I will give myself this crown, unless someone else wants it. The Achilles Hive. I have years of experience with this and if iHart is constantly tweaking it, then he wasn’t healed enough to return. He should sit out and recover. And that can me a month at best. Unless he does that blood treatment to increase the healing time. Otherwise due to a lack of blood flow in that area it takes time to heal. Put him on the shelf along with the others.

This has to be the end, no? He's proven he's not even a G League talent. I can't believe some other team will sign him. Ntilikina should go back to France or China or find another career honestly.

As quickly as we're going through centers we may need Lopez.

how does Dinwiddie compare to Burks? Why was he cut? I always thought he was solid.

Knixkik @ 2/9/2024 10:54 AM
Knicks are really close to the tax line. It has to influence their decision right ? Can they sign Gibson for the remainder of the year, plus add a minimum guard and be under the tax ? I would have to think it’s a guard who will be cheap. They don’t need a contributor but having traded Flynn and Arcidiacono they do need a warm body at PG just in case behind Brunson and Deuce. Burks, DDV, and Hart will all handle the ball but they still need a bench piece.
Clean @ 2/9/2024 10:56 AM
Just say no to Frank. No more guys who can't shoot.
