Good win!

Bc they traveled with the team so I think may have been part of the 15

Thibs calling it a Knee contusion. Please let it be relatively minor
Clean @ 3/3/2024 9:50 PM

Almost like he could play some more minutes so we don't have to overplay our guards.
Clean @ 3/3/2024 9:50 PM
Looks like we dodged a bullet and came out with a win. I am sleeping well tonight.
NYStateOfMind @ 3/3/2024 9:53 PM
With how Knicks handle news, that means he had his knee replaced at halftime.

I've become convinced we don't make the Toronto trade without Deuce balling out in practice. He's been phenomenal since his extension/backup assignment.

Jalen Brunson is in the top-15 with 37.3, despite suffering an ankle injury and missing one game during this stretch.”

That is honestly fucking ridiculous.

Damned if you do damned if you don't. Thibs literally has no one to play. You try to win to buy time you are going to overplay the NBA caliber players you have. He starts playing D league guys he's putting the season. Its simple math. 15 in the bench normally. IHart has limited minutes. Take away Randle, OG, Mitch. Your down to 11.4 players and the 13th guy on the bench moving up to be your 9th man. The minutes thing is over blown and the current situation is a no win situation that people are giving a knee jerk reaction to the numbers. If he played Alec Burks 35 minutes there would be an uproar too.

He has lots of people to play. He chooses not to play them. he is looking at the micro instead of the macro. He is trying to win every game where we have a slim to no chance of winning anyway. So he is risking their health for nothing. Players like Brown and Toppin could not even get in the game. We are losing most of these games anyway so why not put them in and give our main guys a rest.

Because if you want the best seed for the playoffs you to win. You don't want to play Boston in the first round. Precious is cited in the origional post. He played 22 minutes tonight. Cry about McBride with 47 minutes, the only guy available who didn't play (according to Bleacher Report is Charlie Brown. Only other option tonight was Alec Burks who played 11 minutes. Everyone has been saying he needs less minutes because he isn't playing well. I am not bowing at alter of Thibs here. He has no other options.

IDK. To me it seems this is a no win situation.

Brunson had a collision to set off the nerve thing.
I guess that tank is off?
The blame is off?
The "Lets trade up thing and get x player"?
Or Lets see whats up before we get the pitchfork and torches and hunt down Thibs?

Thibs said “day to day - likely return Nov-25”

I don't understand this line of thinking. Do you really think we should ignore what is happening because this exact situation did not end in the worst possible way? The goal is to be proactive not reactive.

Precious was GREAT —— Bogey great boost but scared me at the end.

I-Hart looked himself tonight- much more bounces and contests at the rim.

Thought Precious showed he can man up Mobley very nicely - even the block on the Garland switch.

Josh and Donte all heart - Deuce like a kid brother playing great and everyone so proud.

Or over reactive?
perhaps wait until the end of the game? Next day?

Knixkik @ 3/3/2024 10:26 PM
Really good win and seems like the Brunson injury is a pretty standard knee to knee contact injury. All is not lost I guess.

Nothing wrong with wanting Thibs to reduce minutes.

Hart is averaging 43 minutes over the past 7 games. Against the warriors no one on GS played more than 32 minutes Josh Hart played 47. That game wasn’t close, when games are over you get your guys rest, especially this season.

Tonight was a great win and a gritty performance, has to be a way to stagger the guys a bit going forward.

NYStateOfMind @ 3/3/2024 10:51 PM
Partially because they shot 14-24, lol. Also, they had 20, josh 19. Either way, Josh was awesome this game. Delivered the dagger for sure.

You might need to check every game thread. I been complaining after the games about over playing the healthy players for weeks now. It did not start today because of Brunson. Glad to see we are on the same side of this though.

Clean @ 3/3/2024 11:00 PM
On another note, McBride might be a better player than Grimes. Coming into this year I would have never thought that. He has flaws but the growth this year has been awesome to see.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. You're 100% right. I just think right now circumstances are preventing that from happening and the numbers we see aren't what they would be if this team was in a normal situation and knee jerk reactions to playing time when literally 25% of your team and 33% (not counting Brunson) of your normal rotation are hurt and another guy is kinda on a minutes restriction.
