No injuries — yeah (not counting Bogey because he had neck tape on when he entered game).

Shout out to Precious with 16 boards and nice rim protection.

Divincensmo!!

Glad he is getting more minutes!

Shout out to JHart as well.
JHart is that guy you always wanted on your 5.
Gets all those balls when you are tired.
Runs hard every transition.
Helps on everyone defensively.

Props to front office for adding these two..

I agree 100%. So let me get this straight, he had a chance to break a record and he wasn't going to go for it so it would not hurt Monte's feelings? Grow up dude.

TO be fair, it was a press conference and a reporter asked Monty to bring it up and comment.
I liked that Josh Hart asked the reporter for the exact quote. The way it was presented to him was “Monty had a problem with it”…..then was given the quote. Not like Monte was all about that. He was asked. I have not issue with Josh’ response given who he is and the way it was presented to him.
Monty team got blown out. He should be upset and was not happy but he also said he did not want to be part of that story. By saying that he did. He also wanted to protect his guys one of which held the record. Knicks did feed DDV and kept him in the game so I respect Monty being a little miffed and his season is a nightmare.
At the same time I don’t see knicks being egregiously wrong in what they did. It was at home, the crowd was into it and its not like they were gunning for it all night long. If I was Detroit player or FO I’d expect Monty to stick up for his team a bit.
Media asked. He answered. Not like he came out whining about it. His team got its ass kicked. They also down like 8 players? What a shit show that season is for them!
Ivy in year two still can shoot? Looks like Shumpert on crack out there! This kid is still young (we have heard that before) but he needs to get his shit together! Grimes had a nice opportunity to audition next to Cade to bring defense, and spot up shooting. LIke Frank injuries get in the way of progress.
Not our problem anymore.
Bottom line, nice knick win, we embarassed a team that has played us well this season who is injury depleted one of our guys got a team record and lets just say some fans are not being gracious to EV as others and Monty heard it. Context.

Last time the Knicks were up big and Detroit came back and there was all this shit about how it never should have been that close and they squeaked by on a bad call. Monty bitched about that. Now the Knicks keep the gas on don't let Detroit up and Monty has a bitch about that. I always liked Monty and I felt horrible about the stuff he went through with his wife. On a personal level I wish him all the best, but dude needs to stop bitching about EVERYTHING.

SergioNYK @ 3/26/2024 10:41 AM
Anyone else find it a little annoying how Fournier was defending last night? Exposed himself for the phony that he is. He NEVER defended that hard when he was here! So glad DVo is erasing him from Knicks history.

I will admit I kind of agree with Monty. Like why run up the score? Game was over. I never liked it when teams did that to us.

DLeethal @ 3/26/2024 10:46 AM
I am cool with Monty's response. He's trying to break a severe culture of losing. I think that was the right response from him in that situation. Hart's response was also funny and on point. No issues with either side at all.

Not much to say about the game, we took care of business, and it looks like starting Deuce was the spark this team needed to get through this final stretch run of injuries. Looks like we are most likely going to keep OG out for the rest of these "easy" games and maybe try to bring him back for the tougher stretch. OR we keep him out as long as we are in a comfortable playoff spot. I think as long as we are in the 3-5 range we are probably comfortable.

OG is not a guy who will need time to get back and gel. We can slide him right in and he will fit like a glove and help, just the way he plays. Randle is the one who needs a handful of game to shake rust.

Prior to this season he had a 367-336 coaching record. Solid.

So far he’s 12-60 this season… all the way down to 379-396.

It has to make him sick to his stomach. Knicks steal a game from him and this one you have several players playing 40mpg in a blowout while chasing a triple double and a 3’s record. :)

Missed opportunity in his finals appearance.

Are we all in agreement that Jericho needs to bring the hair back or I'm gonna confuse him with Jacob Toppin for the rest of the season?

Guy lost 4 inches of height - needs the hair if he wants to play center.

VDesai @ 3/26/2024 11:21 AM
I dont really care about Monty - he is the highest paid coach in the NBA and has the worst record. Lots of injuries, but he is getting paid for his angst and even if he gets fired he's got a few franchises that owe him money. We brought him into the NBA once upon a time so I had a little bit of a soft spot, but his mess now is his won.

I do like Hart's response. We do what we need to. If Thibs is gonna leave him in, he's gonna keep shooting.
