Question: has Simms gotten any better in 3 years?
LivingLegend @ 3/27/2024 10:04 PM
Precious dunk reminiscent of nerf basketball on top of door frame
VDesai @ 3/27/2024 10:05 PM
Btw I voted for Deuce in the poll so I also won like the Knicks

Just fine for a third string center. Though maybe fourth string now with Precious and Mitch being back.

1st quarter Deuce

The minutes thing with Deuce is a fucking joke. Thibs should be arrested. 40 minutes in a 40 point win… disgrace!!!

Fired up to have Mitch back! Absolutely huge! Hopefully the rest of the boys are back soon

Perfect night. Blow out win. Mitch back. Confidence builder for many of our players. And every one of our eastern conference rivals that played lost. Sole possession of 3rd seed.

Finished 2nd or 3rd in the conference is ideal for avoiding the Celtics as long as possible.
To be honest, there’s no telling who anyone will match up with in the first round. There are still way too many games to be played. A two game winning or losing streak for any of the teams can swing things around.

Our main focus can be summed up in coming together as a unit, getting healthier and avoiding new injuries.

Expected to see some progress/consistency in his post-up game. When you think of his signature offensive move, there is really nothing other than the pick & roll dunks.

I feel the same way about Mitch, too.

Deuce supposedly shot 500 3s/day, and look what he's doing now.

Well......

- he's certainly in better overall shape from conditioning and pure strength basis vs his rookie year
- offensively it's hard to see any improvement ---- maybe a little better handling the ball on the perimeter but nothing obvious
- his best attribute defensively is he can guard the perimeter very well
- worst attributes are he doesn't recognize downhill action coming at him (the rim) and is typically a split 2nd late contesting at the rim

He's a really nice 4th center right now - not saying much but he's better than some teams back-up big.

Clean @ 3/28/2024 6:38 AM
He might play but he won't be healthy this season.

imagine letting a young player who has been on the bench for almost 3 years actually... play?

Knicks are 9-2 in March with Brunson averaging 29mpg and Miles is a huge reason why.

The question is are you like the 2 that voted prior to the game or the 5 that voted during and after

Knicks 9-3 in March, with wins over CLE, ORL, SAC, WSH.

Only allowed 100 points in 4 of those games including last nights blowout.

Brunson 29mpg in March, Miles coming on has really allowed us to rest Brunson while still gaining ground. His development is coming fast, he is running the team so much better now then just 2 months ago. He's also now playing SG as well. We may have found another core piece in Miles now.

This all without our entire starting frontline.

Pretty incredible when you think of it.

Yea, he's a capable 3rd Center that plays more controlled and within the schemes and isn't just a pogo stick anymore. For like the 58th pick in the draft he's done well and probably close to his ceiling.

nycericanguy @ 3/28/2024 8:21 AM
IQ might turn into a star in his own right, but hard to argue with Miles at $3m vs IQ at $25m right now.

Cavs have a rough road ahead especially if Mitchell doesn't come back til the very end of the season. Knicks have 5 tough games on the schedule as well. But we are playing really good ball right now and should stay in the drivers seat.

ECF push looking good right now.

Deuce is a tank and in the midst of his career breakout, thrust into starting role, sparking a critical late season push for his team, breaking career high after career high, getting serenaded at MSG every time he rises up for a 3. I'm sure he's def pissed he's getting too many mins. Damn you Thibs.

Knicks might actually be a better team by simply removing RJ and IQ. The way they are playing now since Miles was put into the starting lineup, even without OG and Randle, is pretty much as good as we've seen at any point besides immediate post-OG trade.

Removing IQ and RJ, and their ball dominant styles, and retooling the lineup to feature more Deuce, more Hart, more DDV, starting iHart etc, has really made this team look much more fluid and competent on both ends then they ever looked last year.

DLeethal @ 3/28/2024 8:33 AM
Don't think Thibs is getting enough love for starting Deuce and going uber small. A move pretty much no one would have predicted him to do, especially after seeing him start Precious at the 4 when injuries hit. Tom Thibideau is STARTING 4 guys 6'4 and under. Pretty crazy. It has elevated this team to a new level right at a time when we needed a spark to finish the season.
